  1. Just Mike has gone quiet.
  2. I doubt it mate, all 8 stone of you probably bounced off him and into someone else.
  3. A well known connection to Southampton FC is flying into Italy next friday morning, the same day the transfer windown shuts. Make of that what you will.
  4. Exactly. Yet when people point this out they're accused of having a go at Cortese.
  5. But if you really wanted a house and were very close to doing a deal would you then walk away from it for the sake of a few grand? If a seller doesn't want to sell then you're not the one holding the aces. As i've said maytimes, this is the reverse situation to the AOC deal.
  6. :lol::lol::lol::lol:
  7. It's quite simple Jamie. If you can't afford a player don't bid for them. The player wants to sign, Bologna want to do a deal with us but on their terms as they don't want to sell its exactly like when AOC wanted to go to Arsenal. He can't expect clubs to now to his demands when selling then want it On his terms as well when buying.
  8. Another case of Cortese wanting it both ways it seems. When we didn't want to sell Chamberlain they had to meet our terms, now the boot is on the other foot it seems like he might be prepared to lose the deal because he's not prepared to meet theirs. If this deal doesn't happen only one person is to blame.
  9. Okay so that accounts for 7,000 of the fans that were on the pitch singing "we are Southampton we are premier league" where are the rest and where are all these floating fans from Guildford, Cirencester, Warwick, Stroud, Ilfracombe and Truro we were expecting once we got promoted?
  10. How come Everton nearly sold out last night for a Monday night game on telly and Fulham, QPR, Newcastle and Man City sold out this weekend? Is Southampton the only club in the country that is greatly affected by family holidays?
  11. The Man United attendance is irrelevant and not an indication of our fan base. Even Tiny Everton almost sold out against them on a Monday night when it was on the telly.
  12. "we are Southampton, we're premier league" * * but only outside of school holidays. Definitely Not on bank holiday weekends. When it's cheap to get in or get to. Only when we are playing decent opposition. If its not on the telly. If it doesn't rain. If we don't have a surprise birthday party to go to.* * we still need a bigger ground and are bigger than Everton and Leeds though.
  13. Yes. http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2012/08/14/3305581/bologna-star-gaston-ramirez-rejects-tottenham?source=breakingnews
  14. Both would be great. Dawson is just what we need IMO.
  15. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/southampton-transfer-news-gaston-ramirez-1271082 Nothing new really.
  16. Ignore the bulbs on here mate, it's full of them.i got a load of grief on the Clyne deal even though I was spot on about it. If you're right great, if you're not you mongboard ITk credibility is shot to bits, I'm sure you'll cope with that.
  17. Well be alright for that, we're sponsored by an IT company FFS.
  18. It's the Uruguayans and Italians that won't.
  19. Would make sense, have them on conference call/video during the discussions. Must have been painful the translating of everything between English, Spanish and Italian.
  20. You always got a ticket if you wanted one, you just had to ring up on the day they went on sale and be a bit more proactive. Some people on here like to think we were turning thousands of people away every week and thousands more didn't bother because they thought they wouldn't get a ticket, this simply isn't the case. Yes, there was the odd game that sold out very quickly, but there were lots of games that didn't.
  21. Quite simply our fan base isn't as big as a lot of people think it is. We'll sell out for the big games and we'll sell out for some of the smaller games if we are doing well. That's not to say that at some point in the future we couldn't fill a bigger stadium of course.
  22. I obviously meant after admin. our attendances in L1 were better than the last few in the championship before going into admin.our championship average last season was better than any before admin in that league. So it's not right to say people lost interest after we almost went pop.
  23. Fulham, QPR, WBA, West Ham and Newcastle all sold out on Saturday (or as near as damn it). Are we the only club in the country affected be family holidays?
  24. I don't agree with that at all. If anything going into admin galvanised the clubs support. Our attendances in L1 were better than in the championship and our away support now is the best it's ever been.
  25. Who said anything about season tickets? One off match ticket prices for this and Coventry weren't that dissimilar so it isn't the cost that's the reason why we've only sold 6,000 non season tickets, we managed to sell 15,000 of these for the Coventry game without a problem.
