Just seen his interview on the GSR. Just such a top guy and such a sad story.
-
I didn't say anything about a winger. A left back and centre back were absolutely vital IMO and Nige seemed to agree with me. If we are going to insist on playing the 4-3-3 then we are also short in midfiled. It's unfair to burden JWP with the repsonsibility.
-
Quite a few missing posters, maybe these are the infamous "good posters that dont bother anymore" WHere is SaintScottoftheNortham for example? I used to love hearing about how he'd been telling everyone to sing during games.
-
The problem is that anyone who posts anything unless it's positive is immeidately shouted down and "proof" and a "sauces" (LOL) is demanded. Meanwhile anything positive is lauded as being great news. Anyone that names their sources on an internet forum is an idiot.
-
Again this just highlights the poor transfer window. If we genuinely decided to go with 4-3-3 during the summer why not dip into the market for another central midfielder? We heard all about Lallanas central role which he seems to now not be playing so it leaves us with Davis, Cork, Morgan and JWP there, meaning any injures and we are going to be streached. As promising as JWP is it's not the right thing to do or fair on him to rely on him as a first team player, he's only 17 and should be brought through gradually.

Good score Whelk, thanks for posting. I havent ignored you and i hope that makes you feel content.

Or a Kasabian tribute act.
-
So according to your post we shouldn't play Lambert because in the future we wont have him around. That's as good if not better than the people claiming we shouldn't play him because he wont be able to play if he gets injured.

To be fair, as i alluded to earlier, Chalet was pretty sound a while back when i got an infraction for saying mongboard one time too many. I did agree never to call TSW this again, so hence why it is now refered to as the spaz board.
-
The whole TSW Ltd entertainment budget was blown on curry night i'm afraid, so any golf days will need to be self funding. Maybe iy could be run as a forum incentive for the most prolific and interesting posters to the earn to chance to meet a Mod at Fleming Park golf course? That'd surely encourage people do be more interesting. Maybe even get Baj and/or Steve Grant to do a TSW Q & A session after if they wanted to make it a super attractive offer.
-
I wishi could have a pound for everyone I've spoken to in the last two weeks that wrote to Jim'll fix it and never heard back.
-
Yeah, I'll even things up for us. This could be good and we could do it for the LJS foundation. Come on TSW golfers, let's make it happen.
-
Make it happen.
-
The same team that beats 2-0 earlier this season, who are arguably worse now after loosing their best player.
-
This sounds like a great idea! How about a TSW golf day? Seriously.
-
I think the main problem with infractions is they are totally unquestionable. Apart from one occasion where one of your chaps was pretty sound and totally changed my view of him, you rarely get s reply if you question it and if you do its usually a snotty response. Baj is the worst for the that to be honest.
-
Are you inviting me for a 'chat' Chalet?!!
-
Behave yourself. Jimmy gave me an infraction a few months back for taking the p*ss out of a comment he'd made about stamping on people's dreams. Nothinf malicous, i just started the post with 'i dont want to stamp on tour dreams....' A lot of it comes down to who the mod is and what their definition of banter is. A few are quite sensitive little souls which you can't afford to be in a position of power, such as a moderator on an Internet spaz board.
-
I've noticed the mods go on little crusades every now and then where they'll dish out infractions like confetti at a wedding. They had one a few months back which by coincidence was around the same time they all went out for a curry. Just saying like.
-
Yep, be true to yourself, realise the limitations you are working with and how you haven't been helped by those above you. Do your best and stay positive and don't blame others. Good man, at least he's not outwardly blaming the chairman, like Holloway, even though he'd have every reason too.
-
Just shut up and sing the Cortese song. We applaud him and worship him when transfers happen, but when they don't happen it's someone else's fault and not for a lack of trying, that is how spaz boards work.
-
Neil Warnock. Great at getting teams promoted, not so great at keeping them there.
-
I agree, he's a bright guy, I'm sure he did it deliberately to shut up the reporters and stop them asking the predictable questions about his future. It might also be a canny dig at those responsible fro transfers, that whatever happens he knows he's done his best with what he has and under the constraints he's got to work under and not being backed in the transfer market.
-
Paul Ince got MK Dons promoted once.i bet Blackburn are kicking themselves at having got rid of him so soon as he could easily have been the new Alex Ferguson.
