Here are a few rules for those in doubt. please try and stick to them. What is and isn't acceptable to wear to football Ok Smart casual. Dress to impress dark denim jeans which are not faded and have multi pockets. Jeans must fit well. Smart trainers or shoes. For shoes Camper, Clarks originals are acceptable brands. A smart polo shirt or t-shirt and a jacket or well fitting top. Replica shirts - okay IMO but not my thing. Dont not wear them over a jumper or hooded top. Wear them under a coat or you look like a *****. Retro shirts - the best bet for a shirter and better than a normal shirt. Again not my thing but better than a relica shirt if its yours. Scarves - Okay IMO, quite like seeing the old fashion bar style scarves. These are fine when worn with a winter coat in that season not worn with a t-shirt in the august and april FFS. Not okay Jester hats - you look like a c*nt. Middle aged blokes wearing them look like a single, loser virgin who lives with his mum. Wigs - see above Foam hands and face paints - you deserve to be ironed out fancy dress - See Jester hats FFS. this list is not exhaustive. Please try and adhere to it and not embarass the club next season. KR Turkish.

It's called pride in your appearance Timothy. If we were all sheep we'd all be fat, embarassing messes. 90% of English people dont have a clue how to dress, surely we'd be one of these, no?

All i am saying is that we need a good relationship with the media. We seem to have spectacularly fallen out with the echo for no real reason. We were a laughing stock a couple of season ago due tot he press ban and "South coast club" thing. There will be a lot more focus on us in the premier league, national journalists will be here all the time. It'd be very helpful if they were onside as like it or not a lot of people, fans, players and sponsors are influenced by what the read. The suggestion that we "dont give a f*ck, it's not important because i dont read the papers" and "we control the media" is quite honestly ridiculous and stupid.

Well that's good then because i feel embarassed for you that you are so naive you think a major football club doesn't need a good relationship with the media because you personally dont read the sunday papers. Tsk and you say i dont have intellect.

By Cortese backtracking and going cap in hand to the media. Hardly corrolates with the brash "we dont give a f*ck about the media, we control the media" etc statements we've seen on this thread.

This is what you are not getting my beardy wierdy ol' chum. We are trying to understand them, we are trying to find out why this is so much fun. Maybe we are missing out on something? Maybe when we see the light we can convert to fancydressism too, as yet though no one has managed to explain why this is such a great laugh that we are told it is.
