  1. Why is there any need to mention them? What have any of them got to do with getting fans to and from a game safely? All these things happened inside a stadium. Unless he is linking them to football violence then why is there any need to bring them up? Its nothing to do with the bubble. And it is in very bad taste that he would use these disasters to justify the decision. Regardless of if he ment to link them to football violence or not.
  2. Hillsborough = Police primarily to blame bad ticketing and overcrowding. Bradford - A fire that could of happened anywhere in wooden stands that where the norm in football grounds. Heysel - Allsorts to blame Ibrox - Fans leaving en masse and crush from stairwell which again i cant seen related to 'trouble'. I really cannot see the justification in mentioning any of those disasters. Unless your are doing so for PR scare tactics.
  3. he comes across as a man who loves the limelight, i wouldn't be at all surprised if this was deliberately said to shock.
  4. Here is the quote "We all too quickly forget the events of Hillsborough, Bradford and Stairway 13 and too readily deny the link between football violence and tragedy, as seen at Heysel." He is clearly linking the two and using them to justify his decsion. Which is pretty shameful.
  5. He's still using tragedies like these to justify his decisions. It's pretty vile taste to be honest.
  6. Just read that for the first time. pretty vile taste that someone would use this sort of thing to justify a contreversial decision. Not surprising though sadly.
  7. I for one, am glad you aren't going.
  8. You're not wrong mate. The Yoof of today couldn't live with the Junior Saints firm c88-93.
  9. Gordon Hobson? I always knew you couldn't spot a decent player. You probably think Harding is better than Fox as well.
  10. :lol::lol:
  11. They are bottom of the league with one win in nine. We are top, why shouldn't we expect to roll them over? Would Man City not expect to roll over WIgan?
  12. I'm just concearned as to why he didn't give all credit to the chairman for his work behind the scenes to give us such confidence on the road.
  13. Please explain how one save for their keeper in 90 minutes and being even worse in the second half is a team full of ideas an purpose.
  14. Don't worry about it, most don't. Just repeat the standard lines, we're still top, it's only one game, in Nige we trust, etc etc.
  15. Sorry to hear about Mrs Thamesaint hope she is okay.
  16. Its easy to sit there behind your computer and sneer isn't it fella. After Wallsall last season we went on the best run this club has ever had, 13 wins out of 14. Did anyone see that coming at the time? How is saying yesterday's performance and result was rubish and overreaction? It was. As has 3 crap performances in our last 4 games. You want to try going to games fella and forming a view yourself rather than sitting behind your keyboard digging people out for comments made 9 months ago.
  17. It reminded me a bit of the premier league and what all you clowns chomping at the bit about us being the new Barcelona can look forward to. rubbish performance, losing without ever threatening to score, rubbish atmosphere But. Decent day out on the beer. The only difference was we lost to an incredibly bad team.
  18. What VFTT said. Get on with the washing up.
  19. /\ only an imbicile will use possession as evidence we were unlucky today. Anyone can play a 10 yard sideways pass unchallenged. What did we do with all our possession? Nothing. We created one chance against a team who had won one home game all season. Like is say I'm sure some of you morons will spin it that we played brilliantly and were unlucky but the simple fact is we were sh*te. The tactics were awful and naive and 1-0 flattered us against the team bottom Of the league.
  20. Why does anyone think they are similar players? Physically prehaps. Lambert has great touch and control. Beattie does not. Lambert is great at bringing other players into the game. Beattie is not. When Beattie played for us our tactic was to get it into the channels and let his power win it against centre halves. We don't play like that at the moment. I'm Sure many of you who know f*ck all about football and think Guly is sh*t and Harding is brilliant and who sang for Bradley Wright Phillips to be brought on will think he is the answer to all our prayers. He isn't.
  21. Don't forget he's onE of our players who will be better in the premier league, forget he's been averAge at beat in the championship and league one. Once he gets to the top flight he'll prove how good he is
  22. Sorry and the positives are? We managed one shot on target which btw went straight at the goalkeeper in 90 mins against the team bottom Of the league, won one in nine and were absolute sh*te. Remind me what the positives are from that please.
  23. We are just saying exactly that in the pub. Very poor today, when will Adkins realise 3 central midfielders won't work. Schinderlin in the attacking midfield role was a basic error, he is not an attacking midfielder.
