  1. Actually I'm rather worried and think we might have been fleeced. 3 times the price which means we are paying £10m for an extension the pavilion, a few sets of floodlights, a security hut and s bit of landscaping. Seems a ridiculous amount of money to me, given you think there is no chance at all we got our sums wrong originally and couldn't find anyone to do it for the £5m we wanted to pay.
  2. How did i guess you'd be a vegitarian.
  3. I do. On a usual working day I have lunch at 1 so by 2.50 I'm starving. I'll leave the office then to go down to the Burger Van and stuff my face with one whilst chewing and spouting bullsh*t to anyone who will listen. I normally get back to my desk at 3.05 but by 3.40 I'm desperate for a p*ss and getting. A bit pecking again so I'll leave my desk to go for a slash then it's back to the burger van to feed my at chops again. In between bites I'll spend the whole time ranting about how clueless my manager is, we should. Get rid of Magda from marketing as she is lazy and offers nothing and slag of Leon in sales saying he's completely in the wrong role and would be much better in accounts. I usually get. Ack to my desk at 4.10, spend the rest of the afternoon ranting at my collegues telling the they are useless. I've often seen them taking a bit of time trying to write constructive emails to customers but I find a well volumed "don't f*ck about with it, just send it" tends to work a treat. I make a couple of sales calls myself and run through my pitch so quickly it's barely Audiable! I guess the banging on my desk doesn't help either. Another p*ss s break at 4.25 before logging off at 4.40 and leaving work early to beat the traffic. Why should a Saturday at football be any different?
  4. Been out in York many times and its decent. Decent standard of people and some good bars and clubs. Luckily for you i'll be letting you associate with me that day and evening. This bar is well worth a visit and a good one for us to celebrate being championship champions in http://www.stonerosesbaryork.com/
  5. Hang on a minute. He is praising Saints saying how well we've done and how consistent we've been. You were all getting your knickers in a twist about Dean Saunders not saying Saints are the greatest side he's ever come up against on Saturday but when a manager pays us the gushing praise you all demand it's mind games. Is this not the respect and praise you were all demanding from West Ham and everyone else that hasn't lavished praise on this amazing football club? Well done big Sam for recognising what an incredible team we are, a truly great guy gracious and honourable in defeat.
  6. And you think that has trebled the price do you? What boils down to a slightly bigger main building, a couple of new sets of floodlights, some improvements to the pitch, a couple of small extra buildings and a bit of landscaping? You claim this project is costing over £10m so these additions are costing more than £7m, if you are standing by your claim that the project is worth £10m or more to complete. Utter bollo*ks. Though we shouldn't be surprised at your silly little claims. You are the person that claims we can double our current crowds because 10s of thousands of new fans will travel to SMS from place Truro, Wrexham, Bristol and Cardiff to watch premier league football and that Aston Villa, despite spending more than all the teams above them and being tens of millions in debt didn't spend big to finish sixth. Forgive me for not taking your nonsense seriously.
  7. For all you saying how wonderful it is that the developments are now Costing 3 times more than originally planned the reason for isn't because Cortese is a great guy and wants the players to have gold plated taps on their personalised baths, it's because the cost of what SFC were willing to pay and the what they wanted doing were miles apart. No building contractor would go near it for the price they were talking about. Why do you think it's taken so long for a brick to be laid? *puts on tin hat and expects to be called all sorts of names for saying anything that suggests Cortese isn't the greatest man whoever lived *
  8. Well I'll be disappointed if we don't go up as champions. Clubs like Saints don't get the chance to win things very often and we are in a great position to win the 2nd biggest trophy in our history. I don't give a toss who the league in 1978 and only survived for 2 season or who finished third in 1965 and lasted 43 seasons. None of it matters to us right now and none of it will matter ss to how long we stay up for. Ill say it again. The Championship will be the second biggest trophy we have ever won in our history. If you're happy just to skip to games grateful we are in with a shout of promotion then that's up to you, I want to go up in style.
  9. No one knows and anyone that says they do is either guessing, a bull*****er or an attention seeker. Thread closed.
  10. So in the 3 years you talk about Aston Villa had a net spend over over £60m. More than all of the teams that finished above them. Yet inspite of this and 3 consecutive 6th placed finishes they still lost their best players when bigger clubs knocked on thier door and because of this also lost their manager because he wasn't given MORE money to break into the top 4. So did they spend big or not? Compared to those around them it seems they did, but even £60m net wasn't enough to finish higher than 6th. As for your final point, you need to make your mind up. I thought you said we can get to the top 6 without spending big, we can do it by our academy and training ground. Yet again your arguement that we are all set for the champions league once our academy players hit 20 years old stumbles yet again. You might well be able to take Eastleigh from the Conference South to the champion league on Championship Manager but real football is a little more complicated.
  11. The usual boll*cks from our excitable morons on here. "oh look at Swansea" yes, they've done well. For 3/4s of one season. Lets see if they are still in the top half of the table in 5 years time without spending a large amount of money on improving the squad. Lets see if they are still in the top half when their best players get their head turned by offers of silly money elsewhere or their manager gets poached by a bigger club. "we dont need to spend big to be a top club, we've got a great training ground and an amazing academy" Only one team in the last 20 years has produced and retained enough home grown players to be a top half of the table for any lengthy period. Who was this team? Manchester United. One of the biggest clubs in the world. They also added top top players to complement them. For other clubs in Saints bracket and a little bigger what happened when Newcastle brought through Andy Carroll, Sunderland brought through Jordan Henderson, Aston VIlla brought through Gareth Barry and Ashley Young, West Ham brought through Joe Cole, Frank Lampard & Rio Ferdiand? They couldn't get out of St James Park, the SOL, Villa & Upton Park quick enough when a bigger club playing more money came calling. "oh but the new laws are coming in, it's all going to be fair" - Yes, clubs can only spend what comes in. Which means the biggest clubs with the biggest incomes can spend more. Yes, they cant spend more than they earn, but a club in the champions league playing in a 60,000 seater stadium and winning trophies will have more income and be able to spend more than a club in midtable playing in a 32,000 stadium winning nothing. How does this help Saints become a top 6 team exactly? I know this does fit well with a lot of some of your beliefs that we are on an unstoppable march to the champions league and doing it with a load of academy players all here because they share the chairmans vision and like all of us believe he is the greatest man who ever lived. The reality is somewhat different. NO club since the Premier league was invented has competed regularly in the top 6 without spending a f*ck lot of money on players and wages and that aint going to change any time soon. Some of you dreamers need a dose of reality.
  12. Virtualization lets you run multiple virtual machines on a single physical machine, with each virtual machine sharing the resources of that one physical computer or server across multiple environments. Different virtual machines can run different operating systems and multiple applications on the same physical computer. It's a great selling point as virtualisation reduces energy cost and TCO by around 60%, effectively paying for themselves in less than a year. Cloud allows companies to store their data at an offsite location and access their data and applications via the web. Usually held offsite in a datacentre where they will rent rackspace from a third party for their information to be securely (supposedly) As pancake says the benfit is that rescourse is scalable and held offsite so reduces the cost and time of labour. A not very interesting fact is that 70% of most companies IT budget is spent just keeping everything running with only 30% spent on innovation & developement which could have cost saving and increased performance of their networking. For further information on how to make your IT infrastructure more innovation and measureable cost savings feel free to drop me a PM.
  13. To be fair he has been outstanding for Reading, I work in Reading and a lot of Reading and someone else fans there say that he's been their best player and if it wasn't for him they'd be no where near the top 3.
  14. Turkish

    Like a Jos

I've seen and heard a couple of scruffy morons at games spending the whole game shouting "go on Hoover" in their bestest Hampshire/farmers accent and looking round to see if anyone is LOLing along with them at their hilairty. They weren't.
  15. That's because my diet and drinking habits dont out weigh the exercise i do. imagine how fat i'd be if i didn't exercise, i'd look like you with a shaven head.
  16. 12 mins 15 secs tonight. Taken 3 minutes off my time in just over two weeks :-)
  17. As we've been told on here in the past we can easily fill a 45k seater stadium when we are the premier league I fully expect us to sell all 29,000 available home seats to season ticket holders, with a long waiting list as well regardless of any price increase.
  18. Win 4 of our last eight means Reading need to win 6 of their last 8 to overtake us and West Ham 7 of their 9. With them having to play each other yet that is on game where one or both will lose points already. 4 wins will be enough for the title. We could as good as seal promotion if we beat Reading.
  19. Shhhh JB, you can say things like that, incidents like that get airbrushed out of our history as they are only made up by bitter players/managers/journalists If they were true then people on here would have to say we also are a horrible club with Neanderthal fans otherwise it'd be hypocritical and we all know if there is one thing our Internet mong board superstar posters aren't and that is hypocritical. Sorry Alps, I'm going to have to pull you up on this, you aren't allowed such reasoned opinions. You have to immediately abuse the poster that made the comment. I'm sure the forum rules state that pointless posts or abuse aimed at a board member is an infractable offence, I know I've certainly been pulled up on it in the past so I'm sure the mods won't be showing double standard and will have dealt with the abusive posters who've been abusive. No double standards on here I'm confident of that. How do you know they aren't? How do you know they don't go to every game?
  20. Posting about me again Suzy? Oh dear, you're becoming a little bit obsessed aren't you sweetheart. Funny isn't it, claim to hate me and find me sad yet you can't help yourself can you. Do you know what I find a little bit sad? These people that take the Inverness so seriously and rate themselves so highly, see your announcement last week that Alpine was in your ignore list, I'm sure he was devastated, or at least that's probably what you'd like to think he was. Claims that I am sad, yet always posting about me, sad or not, it's a little weird, yes?
  21. the irony of being told I have psychological problems from our resident lunatic. You couldn't make it up.
  22. Oh behave yourself. They've got a striker in Gary Hooper people were wetting themselves about us signing a few months ago. Jos Hooliveld couldn't get in their team who has been a star for us to name but two. They are probably a decent championship side at the moment but with their fan base, stadium and income from English football they'll be a top half premier league club quickl y. Don't want them in our league though.
  23. I don't know why you're all getting you knickers in a twist about, he'll live. Fans show passion and frustration at losing a game they should have won - big deal. I'd rather that than clap the opposition off the pitch and swap scarves with them like some of you wierdos would do.
  24. Fair play to Millwall fans for showing a bit of passion for their club and anger at being robbed of a win. Wish we had fans who showed the same sort of passion.
  25. So tell me, just who is mentioning his name in association with the England job? If you read the interview properly Redknapp says little more than Nige is a decent young manager in an interview about him and the England job. So that is the manager of Tottenham says Adkins is a good manager, hardly pleading with the FA to consider him. who else? Oh, you lot. Thats about it isn't it? Much like Adkins being linked with the Liverpool and Tottenham jobs, by who? Oh guess what, you lot again. Use a bit of commo n sense FFS. Why would a top 6 club want a manager with no top flight management experience whatsoever? Take of the Saints titted glasses, put down the giant foam hands and take a deep breath. Believe it or not but Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea, Man United and City and England do not want all our players. They do not want our manager. The criteria for being an England international and champions league player and manager is quite as simple as doing a good job for championship side Southampton.
