Dodd was out on loan most of that season so hadn't actually gone and was injured, Telfer and Fernandes featured little that season so weren't first team players, so yes it was a very different squad than the cup final side. Bloated with average or ageing players rather than a smaller squad of decent ones.

In answer to your other question, of course it's important that the club is well run, but the team live and die by it's success on the pitch, it effects every other area of the football club, the problem a lot of egotistical modern chairman have is they think they are the most important man in the club, when it is in fact the manager in the dugout.

When i did the predictor i had us going into the last day 3 points clear of Huddersfield with them needing to win 20-0 or somthing and us to lose for them to overtake us, i'd prefer that but i'd take yours.

I cracked up seeing all those idiotic Fulham fans stood around applauding the statue unveiling and saying Al Fayed can do what he likes, reminds me of some of the posters on here. thanks for comfirming, so as a fan base we should be grateful to all sh*t ex players for playing for us, especially ones that earn £7k a week and steal from people who earn £7 an hour. We should also thank them for still being sh*t when they play against us in the future when they leave, It all makes sense now.

Ironic considering he was booed at half time. The bloke was sh*t for us a a total cock and sh*t last night. I dont mind giving ex players that were good lads and put a shift in for us but he is one player who definitely should not have been given one.

A ridiculous comparion, totally different sort of player, you cant even compare the two. To play that position you need to exceptional movement, control and mobility to create space for yourself. Le Tiss was able to play there because he was so skillful and his control so good he always apppeared to have time on the ball, which is what they say is the mark of a great player. Lambert would be at his best playing as a traditional centre forward like he did last season, no talk about him being better in another position then was there! The two best players we have for that role are Lallana and Gully, although Lallana is streets ahead in terms of consistancy and ability.

NOt mobile enough for that position.
