  1. Personally yes, innocent until proven guilty is supposedly the basis of law in this country (although that is another arguement for another day) However, peoples knee jerk reaction whenever anyone is accused is "no smoke without fire" and mud sticks. Until someone is convicted or pleads guilty the press shouldn't be allowed to publish any names or addresses, if they are aquited but employers, neighbours even friends and family might always thinkg, "well they were lucky and got off" even when there was not actually anything to get off.

    The 90's

 I had forgotten about that. Remember that game v Man City, V dull game. Blackburn were the Man City of mid 90's, nice to see a club of that size winning the league looking back though. Other memories CArlton Palmer, Keith Curle, Geoff Thomas and Andy Sinton all playing for England Half time entertainment being bands miming on the pitch, remember Curiosity Killed the Cat at the Dell once on a night game. Horrendous kits, the blue away one c92 which looked like a bird had sh*t all over it and the yellow and blue striped away one. Man Utd being full of brilliant young English players and built around Cantona A sit in after the Oldham (?) home game in protest at Branfoot

    The 90's

Doesn't it annoy everyone how Sky go on about "since the start of the premier league" like football never existed before 1992. It drives me nuts.

  5. I agree Essruu, it is widely excepted that Adam was the first living human, as Adam was made in gods image then he was created as a perfect human. Adam was hetrosexual, therefore so is god. Anything other than hetrosexuality must be a genetic abberation or in some cases a victim of a "confused" society; either way anything other than hetrosexuality is a sin.
  6. This should be a reality check for all those that were beating one out after beating Bournemouth by two penalties and a Tranmere side who were one of the worst i have ever seen in over 25 years of watching football. Quite simply we were well beaten by a better side, you can dress is up how you like with regard to tactics, trying to play to much football etc but man for man Huddersfield were better all over the park. Lambert was poor again and is a shadow of the player he was, it is time to drop him and start with Barnard up front, he has been unlucky to lose his place but he deserves one ahead of RL at the moment. Same with Puncheon, he has been poor all season, when does he ever beat a man by going wide? AC is definitely worth a place above him right now. We struggled to string two passes together in the opposition half and rarely looked dangerous and as for this business about learning lessons and not overplaying when in dangerous areas, f*ck me, 10 year olds know that is you cant play your way out of trouble get it our of the danger zones, it's basic stuff. This was probably our toughest game of the season and i would happily have taken a draw before KO, but i didn't expect us to be so poor and so compehensively beaten. Of course it doesn't mean our season is over and we wont go up anymore than beating Tranmere 2-0 meant we would definitely be champions, but we are a long way off what was expected when the season began. 5 league defeats already this season against 9 over the whole of 09/10 tells it's own story.
  7. maybe even some of the prossies, although they were eastern European so may have supported other clubs, although i am reliably informed that the Krakov GAzette is today runnning the headline "Wisla Krakov fans in English Prositution shame"
  8. Bad luck, as a saints fan it'd be football related management of a brothel so it'd be 15 years and a life time football ban for you.
  9. Of course Harding makes mistakes, if he didn't he wouldn't be playing in L1, but he is one of, if not the best left backs in the division. Dickson is a good player but i feel that it is a bit of a waste of talent him sitting on the bench, he is too good for that, Mills was able cover for Harding.
  10. The Queen Anne in Vauxhall, old building, some of the birds in there have a bit of history and could tell you a story or two and cheap entertainment, only 50p in the pot or you can just nip to the toliet for a slash if you dont fancy one of them.
  11. Absolutely bang on.
  12. but you could say the same about Pardew, took a team that had underperformed for 5 years, built a new team won a cup, decent FA Cup run would have got play off but or a 10 point handicap whilst at Saints that in the circumstances is a succesful season. You could argue he overachieved at West Ham with a cup final and 8th place finish and got them and Reading promoted. I think and hope Adkins is a sucess but there are no guarentees, just look at Strachan at Middlesborough. It's a good start, but if anyone thinks, like saintscottofnortham that he can be judged as a success after 6 games then it is foolhardy.
  13. I am neither agreeing or disagreeing if Pardew should have been sacked, we are where we are. IMO NA is doing a good job so far and long may it continue, he has made an instant impact, but then a lot managers experience a honeymoon period where things go well for a time. Alan Perin at the skates, Juande Ramos at Spurs all had great starts but are regard as up there with the worst managers in their clubs history. To say NA is a roaring success and the Jesus Christ of football management after 4 weeks is foolish.
  14. Adkins is better qualifed academically than Alex Ferguson, does that make him a better manager than him? From what i have seen of Adkins he does seem to be a good manager, the team are playing well and attractive football, but he has only been our manager for 6 games, no time to judge at all.
  15. how can you say that after 6 games?
  16. Err, no they dont.... The majority view seems to be that we would have got promoted under Pardew.
  17. Bristol Rovers are on the same points as us and Swindon, who have recently beaten us twice, hardly dire. To win 4-0 against anyone in the same division is a great result. And you are wrong, people would have given a sh*t if Pardew was sacked before Bristol Rovers, as you can see from this thread, most people were happy with him.
  18. my hands are like a bunch of bananas.

  20. It has, there is a lot more energy in the midfield with him it, i really hope we can keep him.
  21. No, f*ck um, if their statues are dull i dont want to read them.
  22. it makes me glow with pride.
  23. it is but the way we are playing now suits the players we have a lot better. Hammond & Seaborne look different player, it has helped having Lallana back as he is a big miss and Chaplow is a good bit of business and i hope he stays, it seems he wants to make the switch permenant. Pardew is a good manager and i really feel he would have got us promoted, it's probably to early to judge Adkins yet as most managers, (although not most Saints managers!) have a good run when they start at a club, but i feel he will get us promoted as well.
  24. Yep thats right the most important thing in my life is to be the most popular person and the person that gets the most attention on an internet message board. Although it seems not everyone thinks they are crap as my last two threads have almost 300 posts between them
  25. Nonsense, i have over 250 friends on facebook and that is after several culls, one only last week. See you know nothing about me ol' chum. Now rung along, someone needs you to teach then when to use a semi colon which'll suit your rock 'n' roll lifestyle.
