  1. We looked lazy? Jesus wept we are in a relegation battle and the players are being lazy!
  2. We don’t keep clean sheets so we generally need to score 2 or more to win but we can’t score either so there is the problem. (yes MLG/Bad Wolf/Saturdaygirl etc I know we one 1-0 at Chelsea and Bournemouth but they were our only clean sheets this season)
  3. Me too and thought exactly the same Absolutely pathetic from about 5 players, so poor and WTF was Bednarek doing?
  4. Got a mortgage you mean.
  5. Been a succession of errors since the start. keeping Ralph when it was obvious to everyone his time was up The disastrous and ridiculous appointment of Jones The debacle with shields, being allowed to spunk all that money on kids and then leave within 6 months. The failure to sign a striker in the summer Awful recruitment, expecting young players who had never played a first team game or top flight game come in and become premier league players all in all they really couldn’t have got more wrong. Strange that for the first time ever we’ve spent relatively big money it’s all been spunked up the wall and we’re going down with the worst team we’ve had at this level for decades
  6. It’s amusing reading the first few pages of this thread with comparisons to Shilton and Buffon and his international caps cited as being “seriously impressive” despite them being for a country with a population of 5m and being against, in the main, really shite countries.
  7. All these young players signed for big money from Man City, by the same person who then cleared off within a few months really does stink.
  8. When a football players biggest strength is when they don’t have the ball then you know there is a problem.
  9. Who though? They’re not good enough for premier league clubs so no one will want them and they’ll be on premier league contracts so not many championship clubs could afford them. We’re stuck with them. The only ones who will go will be the better players Lavia, KWP, Ward-Prowse maybe Salisu and the ones out of contact, Walcott, Elyanoussi I think. We’re stuck with the rest, having spent years clearing out the deadwood we seem to have acquired just as much in the last year.
  10. Bednarek was inflicted on villa and they sent him back. He’s that shite
  11. Sounds like another one Bazunu should keep out 🤦‍♂️
  12. That was a joke. Came to the game with a camera crew making a documentary Spouting off all this shite about us 🤣🤣 he is an absolute bullshitter. I know another story about him from a Millwall mate, him and a few of his pals were caught up in something and ended io begging to be given a pass by a few Millwall, saying they were here for trouble. They were let go only to them be seen after the game in police escort bouncing up and town shouting how millwall had shit themselves earlier at the previous location his fairy tales in other stories are hilarious, internet seems to be littered with some of his tales of heroics but none of them seem to actually stack up with reality
  13. Not to mention the infamous day at fratton park in 2004. It was the first competitive fixture in Portsmouth territory since 1987 and to add fuel to the fire the notorious saints DEF firm were at the height of their powers. Therefore every self styled hard man in Portsmouth was desperate to have a crack at Europes toughest mob the DEF met up in southsea travelling down in a series of taxis to slip the police, it was made know to the 657 where we were no police or CCTV in sight and an great opportunity for a straightener. Despite our best efforts to find them and them knowing where the meet was no skates in sight at all so we strolled to the ground unchallenged, with the first part of the game going by without incident it was after the game when things really got interesting. With the DEF chomping at the bit to get stuck into the group of 1000 or so skates that had gathered outside the away end the police made the decision to protect the skates and keep the away fans back for their safety to enable to skates to get home safely. When the doors finally opened and the DEF charged out what followed was like a scene from the 300. the skates lying it wait suddenly realised they were dealing with serious hooligans, several brave skates stood for a few seconds but were destroyed and seeing the danger they were In the remainers turned tail and fled as quickly as they could. Seeing the surge from the desperate 657 to escape the police tried to restore order but in their panic to they started turn on the police bottles, bricks, one man even punched a horse such was their desperation to escape. The DEF saw job was done and retreated back under cover mixing with normal fans to avoid detection meanwhile the police concentrated on trying to contain the fleeing Pompey hordes. this ended in I believe almost 100 arrests ad imprisonments for Pompey, amazing what fear will make people do. of course time and spin from Pompey in their usual style is that with no scummers to fight they attacked the police but those that were there know the truth. They point to arrests that day The so called mighty 657 when faced with DEF would rather fight the police and go to prison to escape than stand in front of their enemy and take their medicine
  14. Cancel him
  15. I’m so glad I didn’t see this I’d have been so angry at Holly and Phil! https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-11785195/Bob-Geldof-repeatedly-misgenders-Sam-Smith-Morning.html
  16. Very sad, a great guy. Nice little story i read from Jake Humphery earlier today As it’s announced that legendary British sports commentator, John Motson, has died, here is a brief story about his impact on me I wanted to share…I’ll never forget being a wet behind the ears, and rather nervous reporter for BBC Sport at the Euros in Vienna in 2008. One evening I found myself in the bar with Motty. He bought me a drink and we took a seat in the corner. He was immediately interested in me, my career, and what I wanted to do. I then asked him his one piece of advice. “Work harder than you ever think you need to” be said.He then proceeded to tell me that, despite being at umpteen tournaments and covering hundreds of games, he’d just visited the stadium where he’d commentate on a game the following evening. He went solely to get an understanding of what the view was like from the comm position. He then proceeded to show me his notes, his planning, his prep. It was like nothing I’d ever seen. John would have been 63 at the time, yet wasn’t even remotely relying on his ability & experience. There was no resting on his laurels. He was preparing for that game as if it was his first. Eye-opening, fascinating, grounding, chastening, and hugely important for this 29 year old keen to make his mark in sports broadcasting.I then asked him his one mistake. “Not enough time with my family and my son” he said. At the time I had no kids and the significance of that comment didn’t dawn on me for another 5 years. However, I now know exactly what he was talking about. Every time I get in from a game at 3am, rather than plumping for a night in a hotel, it’s thanks to John. Every time I ‘over-prep’ for a game, and make notes I never get round to using...its thanks to John. Every time I give my advice or learnings to the next generation of broadcasters, it’s because John did that for me.Motty has impacted so many lives, has brought such joy and captured seminal sporting moments perfectly. Yet he has also directly impacted how I live my life. So to you reading this, remember that. The smallest gesture from you can have the biggest impact on someone else’s life…So, thanks Motty. From me, my kids...and everyone you’ve made smile...RIP X
  17. In the 60s it was called segregation in the 2020s its called safe spaces. Makes you laugh doesnt it, for all the uproar about how they wanted to be treated the same they also insist of having their own little area where they can be on their own.
  18. it was a moment of hilarity when they both posted exactly the same thing, word for word within a few minutes of each other #wronglogin
  19. One might think that the training ground bust up had a player who had previously been doing well and was suddenly and inexplicably dropped from the first team and not featured since. You might draw the conclusion that due to this he was frozen out by the previous manager and now has to work his way back into the side, just a thought…….
  20. The Croatian Vegard Forren.
  21. IN saintsweb tradition why dont you arrange a meet at Turnstyle A?

  23. That’s what they want though isn’t it. This whole diversity nonsense is basically promoting all this? Give people stuff because of their gender, skin colour or race.
