“It is very rare I am lost for words but I saw the statue last week and it is awesome - a tremendous tribute to a great man. Southampton fans have waited a long time for this and it is going to be fantastic. I really believe it will be the best football statue anywhere both in size and the amount of detail". 🤣🤣🤣🤣

NO rumours? Guess the club must be seriously looking at Selles now.
-
no that was Keith Legg the guy who started the old saintsforeveer. He got invited on a preseason trip to Sweden. that was when it all started to unravel for saintsforever, lots of "mike asked me to ask you" posts and it ended with the infamous amygate incident. Should have known then WIlde was a joker. The Ted bates statue thing was hilarious, a few days before it was revealed they said they'd seen it and it was amazing and the best statue in football, yes it was but not for the reason they wanted
-
Yes he was 🤣🤣 a power struggle between the various fan groups with Um Pahars at the front of the saints trust desperate for the fan on the board role. It might have been a shit time for the club but it was comedy gold as an onlooker seeing these power crazed people make fools of themselves
-
im sure he sent death threats to someone!
-
His name was Javi as well. He was mental Yeah he did send me a DVD of Le Tissiers goals.

Is that the view from the bar? If so then is that chippy still open on the left, can’t remember it’s name but was decent. Also on the right used to have a chippy and kebab shop called Andy, family business really nice bunch. From about where that’s taken from there used to be an Indian restaurant called Bitterne Balti, before that is was an American style diner place. Further down there used to be a pet shop and newsagent the other side. Quite a lot of character history round the triangle area. When I was a kid some Sundays they have the small trains on those tracks in riverside park, not sure if they’re still there.

Like Stephens he always was okay in backs to the wall type games, it’s when we’ve got more if the ball his concentration and positioning goes to shit. Well done to him today but we’ve seen these performances before only Uk be followed by a costly lapse soon after, still don’t rate him.

One rumour was that the bust was over DCC, the way Jones was speaking to him, would explain why he was frozen out by Jones but not why Selles didn’t include him. Also interesting Bella-Kotchap straight back in yesterday. DCC probably our best centre back this season so hopefully whatever the issue is can be resolved.
-
Oh behave. He used to jump on peoples posts picking them up on the smallest little detail and bore them into submission. Funnily enough when he got pulled up on it and shown as wrong the arrogant refusal to admit he was ever wrong was hilarious
-
Currently posting as Bad Wolf and Saturday girl, no doubt a few others as well. Very weird behaviour though but then he is weird
-
I think he’s great because he isnt Jones. Just like how I hated Dani Osvaldo because he wasn’t Ricky Lambert
-
Not great, was playing centre midfield got completely overrun by Harrogate’s midfield, to be fair Crewe were awful. Harrogate miles the better team 2-0 up And cruising then gave away a soft penalty with 5 minutes to go and ended up drawing 2-2 in a game they could have won 5-0. The similarities to saints are startling! I’d like to see him in a better team before giving a view as Crewe were really poor even their own fans were singing “we’re fucking shit” after about 70 minutes
-
I’ve changed my mind. Give him the job. The list of alternatives is very underwhelming, we’ve got 15 games left and relegation still looks very likely. The players love him, he comes across very well, and he wants it. I’d rather that than some ego boss like Gerrard or Lampard. Yes @sadoldgit I am arrogantly giving Selles my seal of approval
-
Well he looks the part and sounds the part. A good win today in a game we traditionally lose. Players clearly love him. What’s not to like.
-
How costly do those results against Everton, Forest and Wolves look now. Even just draws and things would look so much more healthy
-
Yeah okay 18 points 6 wins or 4 wins and 6 draws same end result. We’ve only draw 3 games all season which is a bit unusual. Big ask but out next two look winnable, could be season changing. Before a difficult March
-
Yeah it’s a six pointer as they used to call them today wasn’t a free hit though. Under normal circumstances you don’t hope or need to get something away at a supposed top 6 club but our position every point is precious. During the week we said we needed 7 wins from our last 16 to have a chance of staying up, that’s now 6 in 15, still a big ask when we’ve only won 5 in 23 and win at Leeds would be massive both for points and belief but let’s not get carried away, great win we’re still bottom with a huge amount to do.

Never lost a game as manager.
-
First look at him today, actually had a quick chat before the game as they did a fans day where players signed autographs and met kids before the game, son had his photo taken with him and got an autograph also told him we were saints fans which he seems to like got MOM today and rightly so, head and shoulders best player on the pitch, got a lot of pace and skill was a constant threat, a lovely flick to assist the first goal and a cracking finish to get a goal himself. Very impressive
-
Saw him play at harrogate today. Was playing centre midfield and got dominated by Harrogate midfield pair. Didn’t really do much, Crewe were awful, 2-0 down after 85 minutes, had nothing going forward then got a very soft penalty and and then an equaliser to somehow draw a game they should have lost 5-0
-
Ah okay cheers.
-
Brilliant result was at another match so keeping an eye on it, why so long injury time?
-
He did have hard hitting conversations in Qatar though.
