  1. We need a manager with a bit of charisma and kudos. An experienced guy who these young lads could look up too. Unfortunately we will never employ someone like Benetiz because he'll want a say in transfers and that's all done by our spreadsheets jockeys.
  2. I completely agree, he's terrible and not blameless. tactically and selection wise it's awful. Why did we hire a long ball manager? Genuinely i wouldn't be shocked if they had never seen any of his matches at Luton and picked him based on the data.
  3. Jones is clearly terrible but WTF were the people who hired him thinking and looking at? Did they just look at the data and spreadsheets without watching any of Lutons games? I feel sorry for him too, he's clearly not up to it but why wouldn't you take a premier league job. Unfortunately Jones is feeling the effects of a succession of cock ups going back 5 years. Selling best players, underinvestment in the team, poor leadership, poor recruitment, a board of silver tounged suited clowns who go on about the womens team and not caring where we finishing, then when we did finally have some cash to invest in the team we let some joker spunk it all on a load of kids and then fuck off within six months. It really has been a comedy of errors, but as manager Jones will carry the brunt of the fans anger which should more towards the directors box.
  4. not to mention losing to Everton would be 7 successive defeats which would be a new PB for Saints
  5. I think De Boer is the current worst Played 5 W1 L4 F3 A8 So we could be adding worst manager to the heaviest defeat awards we have.
  6. Jones can comfortably beat these guys and we’d have two of the top 10. Impressive stuff https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/worst-10-premier-league-managers-22173739
  7. Yep anything other than a win against Everton and Jones will also take Frank De Boers titles as the worst every start to a premier league job. 2 new records in one day.
  8. Quoted. 😀
  9. They don’t give a fuck about the paying fans. Match going fans are an inconvenience. They have an opinion, they can complain and Boo, we don’t want the international TV audiences seeing this, it’s them that matter.
  10. Well if we don’t beat the second worst team in the league at home what chance have we got? Yet you’ve got people on here saying we shouldn’t sign players and people are bedwetting about relegation 🤣🤣
  11. I’m sure Nath will say a prayer with the lads and half time and we’ll be better after the break
  12. Me too, reading this glad none are working for me
  13. Thanks but won’t work
  14. Does anyone have a stream that works?
  15. No one cares
  16. It was an appalling analogy that has absolutely no relevance to negotiating a transfer, but I think you realise that yourself
  17. Zagreb don’t want £12m, that want about half that. That isn’t Monopoly money, its less than we paid for a third choice full back who had never played in anyones first team You do realise we are bottom of the league and probably need to win more games in our last 19 this season than we did in the entire year of 2022? We have a very, very weak squad and if we don’t add to it we are down. unfortunately it isn’t just saints fans who know that, the rest of the football world does as well. That’s why especially in this particular transfer window walking away from a player who could pontentally make a difference over £1m seems a bit crazy, surely even you entrenched in your view that we should never, ever make a high bid, and your made up little scenarios of just imagine if someone who works in McDonald’s wanted to buy a Ferrari and imagine if we’d spent £20m on Aribo, can comprehend that relatively simple point?
  18. Well yeah, everyone has left.
  19. Mislav Oršić - FM 2023 player profile | FM Scout 74 on FM Stuart Armstrong is 80 Joe Aribo is 79 Let Everton have him i say.
  20. which login are you switching to?
  21. He's not a poor transfer, it's more the fact that we seemed happy to pay £7m for a third choice left back who had never played a first team match, yet are haggling over a lower fee for a proven international for a top nation. It's weird.
  22. what? We've offered €5m, they want €7m, about £6.1m where did you get £12m from? What is ludicrous is how much do you think we should pay for an proven exerperienced international player from a team that reached the world cup semi final? Less than an 18 year old left back who is at best 3rd choice and until this season had never started a first team game perhaps?
  23. He's put his colours to the mast on this one. We aren't negotiating from a position of strength, every club in frigging Europe will look at the league table and know we need to do something and they'll know in what positions. Dicking around over a couple of million for a quality proven experienced player who could come in and make a difference straight away strikes me as insanity. As others have pointed out, we've paid that for young kids who have barely played a game this season. Mental.
  24. true. I was in a Ferrari garage earlier and some geezer came in dressed in a mcdonalds outfit, covered in grease and oil, he asked them what's the best price they could do on an F8 Spider, he smiled, got out a fresh £20 note from his overall and said, "will you take this as the first months installment?"
  25. WE DONT BUY SUCCESS WE BREED IT WE DO DEALS ON OUR TERMS WHEN WE WANT WE WILL NOT BE PUSHED AROUND
