We'll that depends on your perspective. Within religion there is also different interpretations of what the religion believes. One thing i will say is that the bible and i'm pretty sure the Quran also was not meant to have been taken literally.

Again you're making it all about you. It doesn't fucking matter what you or me think, Morsy has his views which i'd imagine have been with him from birth. If he wants to refuse to do something because it's against his belief then he's perfectly entitled to and it's not you or anyone elses place to judge that just because you might not approve of it.

the irony
-
Of course. No judgement here at all.

You know this might be part of the dynasty. Create a new brand of football which is seen as hipster which everyone copies which makes teams so shit it gives us a chance. Brighton are copying us, they were shite in the second half of our game and again last night. Pep has learnt from us, they've been shite since they played us. The Southampton disease might be more infectious than we hoped.
-
Except you dont though. You immediately judged his views as homophobic, backward and said it was unfortunate that he chose not to wear one. I suggest that your claims of respecting people rights to chose are just platitudes. You might say you do but in reality the fact is you quickly made this discussion about what you believe and that their views dont subscribe to yours. I suspect it wont be long before you're back to defending islam though when there another cause which you want to be see to support. This is the trouble with being Woke sunshine, when you have to chose between them life becomes quite tricky.
-
You don’t believe it but they do. It ain’t all about you why should people compromise for what you yourself said was just a phase we’re going though? Then like you are judging them
-
Yep I read it. you’re judging them for not wearing one by labelling his religion as backward and homophobic and saying it was unfortunate they chose not too. You’re not alone there are quite a few people the same, piously critical of others and what they should do. To hell with their own long held beliefs if it’s going against the current fashionable cause
-
I don’t like their negative energy. Another clubs fans not understanding the process.
-
Agreed. We’ve lost 11 games this season. 11 opportunities to learn. 11 opportunities for growth. That’s far more opportunities we’ve had than even our nearest relegations rivals. So proud of how much we’ve learnt and grown, so much love for these guys.

I see he’s done his usual tactic after mugging himself off of avoiding the thread for a while.
-
On a separate note have we started giving tampons in the men’s bogs yet?
-
@aintforever not sure what’s funny you actually said Islam was backwards and it was unfortunate they chose not to wear the rainbow armband. are you denying this?
-
Bit like yourself, it’s their choice but it was a shame they didn’t do what you think they should, those members of that backward religion.
-
Wow, Islam is backward. Thats some statement Without judgement though, or not?
-
Why is it a shame that someone you’ve never met or ever will decided to not let their convictions be overruled by a mandate? Do you believe people have a right to stand up for what they believe in without judgement from others?
-
It wasn’t his kit it was written on an armband he was requested to wear they chose to back a Muslim over LGBTs. what’s your view of Islam now it’s highlighted the issues it has with homosexuality? (Which most of us already knew existed anyway)
-
As he says the message is clear. It also wasn’t on his kit You can also make a statement without speaking you know, Muslim players are making one with silently. what do you think of Man United players choosing to back Islam over LGBT?
-
Look at how Brighton are copying us. The revolution has begun!!
-
He seems like typical pub loudmouth trying to be funny but most people think it a bellend and avoid when they’re pissed.

Another development https://uk.news.yahoo.com/manchester-united-drops-plans-rainbow-164221091.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly91ay5zZWFyY2gueWFob28uY29tLw&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAAZyTaMsU_aiH8g5F-sJoInWtce6mHUsB14eax-koQBGHaMdtXnD3SFsUEXPyxksrwE4aVnB-4bdaXusP7zO3uUJOerDHwk5YAS2VC2Rw7u-b5S4RKIkCwPbvBumf5shfc8Lk3liPG-giQ-pRIMl5F76W8ZiGfxv58k3X5WbFZS1 man united dropped plans to wear rainbow jackets after their players refused to wear them in show a display of solidarity with a Muslim player so they chose to support islam over supporting LGBTQ+. Guess Islam is currently top of the Woke league
-
by writing “Jesus loves you” on an armband was Guehi actually showing extra support to the LGBT community by saying Jesus loves them? Is this now wrong? So do you think Morsy was right to refuse to wear one or not? Are Muslim players also making a religious statement by not wearing rainbow laces and armbands due to their religion?
-
I know this is your nonstop bit of whataboutery but Whelk has summed it up pretty well. Remberance sunday is something to honour the fallen soldiers and something thats been done for decades. James McClean is perfectly entitled not to wear a shirt with one on and he has some valid reasons for why he wouldn't want too. However the issue a lot of people have with his action is that he's fine to take the money working in this country but doesnt want to respect the people who fought to make that a possibility for him. Whether that's valid point or not is not really relevant to this discussion, So stop bleating on about the frigging poppy. It's also different because the FA have granted an exemption to him. Whereas in the case of Palace and Marc Guehi he was warned of his behaviour. In the case of Morsy they announced they wouldn't take action. Granting exemptions, warning players and announcing no action to be take is pretty strange things to do when it's apparently completely the players own choice.

Mark Bowen on signing Vestergaard also a reminder that Hughes was sacked after getting 7 points from the first 10 games

Anyone know what happened to Les Reeds secret file of managers we've been tracking for years?
