  1. We wont be signing Jude Bellingham mate
  2. Yeah but i'd rather not be thinking about how much we can sell them for in the future, more interested in what they can do whilst they are here. Once they're gone they might as well not exist.
  3. I prefer to look at it as signing a bunch of youngsters we can build a great young team around, not worry about how much we can sell them for.
  4. Epic signing!
  5. Has he? He signed as a 16 year old, signed his first pro contract in the summer and has played several times for the u23s at just 18. I wouldn't describe that as stalling.
  6. When he joined we were being tipped by many for relegation having sold 5 players and another in Jay Rodriguez out with a long term injury. It's not like he was joining a team that was flying and nailed on for Europe.
  7. He seems like quite a funny bloke, he did a few video interviews during the first lockdown and came across really. He's a proper unit too. Become a really good player.
  8. No, we’ll get to the third floor and let all our good players get off the elevator again
  9. KWP, finds JWP, great ball to Small, to smallbone, to Armstrong, to Adams, It’s Adam Armstrong, 1-0! Going to be great being a commentator for us
  10. Thought that earlier. Building a team of u23s with the best ones integrated into the first team. Training with them, in the match day squad if good enough, with the idea being that we have a core of good young players to step in to replace out going’s, only spending when we have too. We then sell them on replacing with the next batch. It’s a good strategy to have but it means bringing in top young talent that fulfills their potential. Sadly for every one that does there are half a dozen that don’t.
  11. Who on here has been watching a lot of Everton’s youth team and can give us the low down? on the face of it looks good, YHGTI. Low fee to bring him (+£5m agents fees and bonuses) and a high potential resale value. (Minus the massive agents fees and bonuses) must have made some guarantees about first team football too as that’s why he’s leaving Everton
  12. I remember when David Moyes was scoffed at as being a manager for us. Proving again he’s a very capable manager. They will steam roller teams, very powerful
  13. Turkish

    Thierry Small

How much can we sell him for?
  14. Sure I read last week a premier league club bid £1.5m, Everton want £3m. Presume that would be us as the sort of thing we do. Maybe that caused today’s events with the player
  15. West Ham 2 up and battering Leicester, Which is a surprise as I always thought it was harder to play against 10
  16. I don’t think they’re lying. I’m more referring to the current trend of blaming agents fees and bonuses on why we’re not spending much money. When we sell someone it’s claimed the quoted figure isn’t what we’ll get because we have to factor in agents fees and bonuses. When we sign someone it’s also claimed we’ll pay more because there are agents fees and bonuses to pay. This has to apply to every single deal ever done so why is it only an issue for us or are we the only club that does this on transfers? Our agents fees last season were the 4th lowest in the premier league. So it doesn’t stack up
  17. I find it completely ridiculous that we’re openly talking about selling players before they’ve even joined. That is obviously the plan but it really weird that we’re so blatant about it.
  18. You have to remember with those pesky agent fees and bonuses a £20m player actually costs us £30m. But when we sell a player for £30m with agents fees and bonuses we actually only end up getting about £15m or something like that.
  19. Why not? They went to Bournemouth, Palace to name two. Taking inflation into account Mane and Van Dijk would be £20m players now.
  20. That was ridiculous, WTF was he doing? Came for it then changed his mind then somehow ended up rolling round the in the back of the net while United players were lining up to head it in. ALso having watched the goal again very poor, straight at him and not very hard, no way does anyone half decent let that in.
  21. Football players playing for more than one club in a season - InBrief.co.uk Nor sure how up to date this is. Seems like FIFA rule is can be registered at 3 clubs in a season but only play for 2 unless season overlap.
  22. Isn't there a FIFA rule which says a player is only allowed one permanent transfer a window? There certainly used to be.
  23. I wont make a judgement until someone tells me what his xg is.
  24. It's more disappointment that it's a position we really need to add quality in given the amount of goals we conceded last season and it appears that yet again we've gone down the route of young, cheap, to hopefully sell in a few years time rather than bring in what we actually need. He might go on to be brilliant, lets hope so and Semmens and co can flog him for £60m in two years which seems to be the only ambition we have these days. They were talking about buying a player so we could sell them for a big profit in the future as soon as Vestergaard was sold. I've genuinely never heard another premier league club come out with this sort of stuff.
  25. "Consequently, we will be giving all general admission ticket holders (both Season Ticket holders and individual match purchasers) a refund for today’s game (a credit will be given to Season Ticket holders’ accounts). everyone according to this, although looks like a credit for STHs
