  1. A lot of them have appointed coaches and scouts on football manager so very experienced pal.
  2. They do.
  3. No Adams for Danso in the squad. What a a brilliant transfer window
  4. So it wasn’t bull**** then it did happen, although we’ve obviously got different versions of the same account.
  5. No, he said he worked on the site. My mate also did, in fact there is a very good chance they may know each other, I’m not going to mention his name, he won’t post on here as he isn’t a football fan. That is exactly what cortese said and did and he told me first hand the at the time it happened. Believe who you want through, doesn’t bother me.
  6. Edit to grant Mitchell.
  7. Rumour is she wants to buy us back. Imagine if we go down and she buys as back at the market value of about 1/3 what goa paid for us, spend £30m to get us back up and go again. She basically ended up making about £100m and kept her business, maybe she isn’t as bad as we thought.
  8. Trevor Mitchell Great Mitchell Mitchell Johnson I didn’t realise until this post Mitchell and butler owns Browns and All Bar One, thank you for bringing this to my attention.
  9. No it isn’t. It’s 100% true. It comes from The guy who he said it too, he’s a friend of mine and doesn’t even like football or knew who cortese was before he worked on the job. He has no axe to grind with him.
  10. Two replies? it must have bothered you ?
  11. Ah the training ground, There are several interesting accounts on that one. I think my favourite story is when he personally chose a load of very expensive tiles and flooring, the contractor finished the work and he turned up to inspect it. When He arrived and was handed a hard hat and high viz jacket to which he looked at the foreman and said “I am paying for this I will wear what I chose” he then walked into the room and said “I don’t like them, take them down” and stormed out. No one heard from him for weeks, he refused to pay the bill so the work stopped (again) for several weeks whilst the builder waited further instructions. Yet according to the cheerleaders it was delayed and so much more expensive because it was going to be loads better than we’d even hoped ?
  12. I didn’t hate him, I just didn’t buy all his bullsh*t and as I knew Quite a few people working at the club and in the media before and during his time here knew exactly what was going on. Not lapping up all his propaganda like and singing his name. I thought he did a great job up until the second half of our championship season. That was when he ego ran away with him. Isn’t it interesting that despite how so many saints fans loved him, his vision and drive he’s been out of football for six years with no other club showing the remotest interest, despite him turning down AC Milan several times when he was here
  13. That’s boll9cks I’m afraid. As Morse says a number of clubs were possibilities, but it was in fact Andy Oldknow who was key to the takeover and pushing for saints, he was rewarded by given a position as the club until NIck nack decided he could do it himself. Most of you lot lapped up all his bullsh1t, I really hope Adam Leitch does his book as hopefully he’ll expose the poison dwarf for what he was.
  14. We get it mate, you liked Paul Mitchell, you don’t need to mention him on every post across multiple forums for years though, it’s a bit freaky.
  15. #bringhimhome
  16. They should give the job to Jeremy Corbyn he seems to find billions lying around whenever he needs to be popular
  17. He’s been very good, I would love him to do a book, would definitely buy it. Some interesting comments on Cortese
  18. Good piece on the spurs situation and remarkably similar to ours. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/nov/19/tottenham-hotspur-mauricio-pochettino-exit-route#top
  19. Pochetino will be available soon, unfinished business or should I say, asuntos pendientes
  20. You are of course correct but whist we’ve spent money we’ve only spent what we’ve made from sales, when it worked well it was brilliant and I’m delighted with that model, sell Lallana, buy Mane, sell Lovren by Van dijk both for half the price, love it. But now when there are glaring holes in our squad and we still have to sell to buy, but the difference is we can’t sell, quite rightly saints fans are now asking how it is that Newcastle, Brighton, Bournemouth, palace etc can all spend tens of millions more than they’ve earned. I’ve not seen in person give a credible reason, it gets put down as agents fees and bonuses which is quite frankly utter sh*t as every other club had to pay them as well.
  21. I know if we go down we are screwed, we will be in administration again within three years, unless someone saves us. Goa is seriously bad news for us, that much has been obvious since day one.
  22. LOL, here we go again agents fees, bonuses NI contributions etc. If we genuinely have no money after 5 years of being the only club to make a profit from player trading the level of incompetence of those running the club beggars belief.
  23. That rumour was on facebooks Goa out group with people saying many protest might jeopardise the money available. It’s got to be BS, no way will we have to sell to buy in August then goa finds £75m down the back of his futon.
  24. It was okay, much better than that biased McIntyre nonsense a few years ago. Good to see a few saints faces give a bit more balance, although of course it contained a lot of the usual stuff about what a tough, fighting town Pompey is. The thing that always amuses me is how Pompey always go on about saints never do anything against Pompey but then they always go on about what carnage it is when we play them, so they totally contradict themselves.
  25. I don’t think we actually know each other but ages ago someone told me your Real name (which I’ve forgotten) and we knew quite a few of the same people in real life.
