Two particularly cringeworthy examples of embarrassing fans behaviour
-
"Dixon and Speedie will score more than Alan Shearer this season" Wasn't David Lee one of his signings too? A bit like a Lancastrian Steve De Ridder, pace so when fans first saw him they were excited but after a couple of games everyone realised he was absolutely sh*te. We had another winger called Micheal Gilkes who was equally as bad. Perry Groves was another one in that era who was a total waste of money too. The Shearer money was a bit like the Van Dijk money or it's era, used it to buy crap like Dixon, Speedie and Perry Groves, although we did get Ken Monkou who was great player. Strange era, went from having a great young team under Nicholl where despite finishing mainly midtable the fans were complaining that weren't doing well enough to bringing in Branfoot, losing everyone except MLT, wasting all the money that came in and playing some of the worst football you've ever seen in the space 18 months or so.

I’m not often wrong pal and there is a reason for that, just saying.

Even if there isn't a get out clause then transfer fees are spread over the duration of the contract, loans have a loan fee attached and we had to structure the deal so that it was loan first to comply with FFP. I would suggest that the "loan fee" is the simply first instalment of the transfer fee for year one at which point Ings will transfer his full registration to us on a permanent deal and the other instalments are paid over the rest of his contract. We wont just hand Liverpool £20m like some people seem to believe. Had we signed him as a permanent signing in August everyone would have been delighted, because it's got a loan attached to it first some people are bleating about it. Still a good signing and if he gets 12 goals or more he'd have been worth every penny. Even if we have to sign him permanently ago go down we'll have one of the best strikers in the championship to help us get back up.

Saints 3 - Arsenal 2 - I should start threads more often
Turkish replied to Secret Site Agent's topic in The Saints
Really impressed today. The desire and aggression was something we’ve not seen for a long time. I noticed with about ten minutes to go arsenal broke and 8 players were busting a gut to get back to defend, not seen that for a long time. Still lots to do, both goals conceded were sloppy but already a huge improvement. -
There are also a large number of people who drive to games, I am concerned that this is going to encourage people to drink and drive, no doubt the police will be laying in wait to catch people in a rush to issue a football related drink drive ban and push for the most severe penalties for the vile scum who use football as an excuse to leap behind the wheel after downing pints of lager.
-
Cortese could have done this when he promised everyone a free pint at Plymouth away. More bullsh*t from the chancer chairman. SHUT UP AND SING HIS NAME

Wouldn't surprise me. I remember seeing an interview with Rickie Lambert when Pochetino was manager here. The players were unhappy then that Pochetino was making them do high intensity runs over and over again, so Lambert and one other senior player were appointed to speak to Pochetino and tell them the players felt they were being worked too hard. Supposedly Pochentino listened and smiled and said "okay" Lambert went back to the team to tell them it was sorted only for Pochetino to make them do even more runs at the next session. Lets hope new Ralph does the same.

We’ve had a few and the current lot all could all have a case to be included. Hoedt, Vestergaard are terrible making Jos Hooliveld look like Bobby Moore but are they in the worst three you’ve seen? stand outs for me who some may have forgotten or blanked out for their memories Marco Almedia - played for us once in the late 90s. Highly rated when he signed but only made one appearance for us. He was terrible His moment of magic came when he came on as a sub v Arsenal with twenty minute left. He then went on to fall over the ball which led to Thierry Henrys first ever goal in English football. Scott Marshall - signed by Dave Jones from Arsenal and was considered a bit of a coup at the time. However in his first two appearances we conceded 7 goals, two of which were own goals by him. He was utterly useless and never played for us again Alan Bennett - although he improved slight, to be blunt after his first game it would have been impossible not to, his debut v Crystal Palace was one of the worst performances I’ve ever seen by a professional footballer. Absolutely terrible. Honourable mentions to Calum Davenport, Jackobsen, Olly Lancashire and if Vestergaard can maintain his current level he has every chance of making the top 3.
-
Ralph will need to be a miracle worker, especially if it us the case we have no money in January. at the very minimum we need a decent, experienced centre back. How we have managed to spunk £40m on centre centre halves and not have one that is anywhere near the level needed in quite incredible.
-
Last season, when Wigan were doing well on league one, he never shut up about Paul Cook. He was just the great motivator out players needed. Funnily enough he’s not been mentioned this season. Other great predictions he’s spouted before was that Jake Sinclair was our next academy superstar and Calum Chambers was the new Bobby Moore

Kruger went to Europe to buy an apple strudel Instead he got a manager called Ralph Hassenhuttl
-
Ultravox Vienna He f*cking hates Pompey, he f*cking hates Pompey hassenhuttl.......
-
Mitchell will take longer, he’s currently employed so will have a notice period. I’d be surprised to see him here in the next 3 months.
-
Imagine Nordic Saints reaction if Mitchell does come back. Is there any record of a man wan*ing himself the death or would it be a first?

Ralph hassenuttl now 5/6 with paddy power

I think my favourite story of his was when he revealed we weren't interested in Charlie Austin, less than 24 hours later he signed. He blocked me on twitter after that so cant get any of his exclusives anymore. The guy is a joke, "South Coast football expert" LOL.
-
JWP doesn’t look hungry, he isnt that young any more so can no longer be guaranteed to improve. In fact the last 3 years at Southampton FC have provided conclusive evidence that being young and hungry doesn’t not mean improvement is automatic. It’s a good job we have surveys with the club taking a personal interest in how much we earn, trannie flags and £22 burgers to more than compensate from the absolute shambles on the pitch.
-
he doesn't look very hungry to me though, you need 1+2 to be guaranteed to improve. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt as he's played alongside some terrible players too but he really is dog sh*t. Fails to do even the basic stuff right.
-
Pathetic defending. Free header in the six yard box, what a joke
