  1. I have a feeling that Lambert has hit the woodwork almost as often as he has scored this season. Does anyone have the actual figures?
  2. For some reason you can also often save money by splitting your journey into bits. For example Ulverston (in Cumbria) to Nottingham on Saturday for me and my daughter with railcard: £96.10 if I buy return tickets straight through from Ulverston to Nottingham (via Manchester Piccadilly). £75.40 if I buy separate returns from Ulverston to Manchester Piccadilly and from Manchester Piccadilly to Nottingham (and part of the journey is even cheapest first class). Crazy, but true!
  3. Didn't we have five shots, five on target and win six nil that day at Wolves. One of Saga's was superb, scored almost from the touchline just in front of us.
  4. Another vote for one big kop next to the away fans. Not too bothered where but keeping the Northam as the the kop would probably involve the smallest number of people changing seats. Great to feel involved again.
  5. If you buy over the phone from St Mary's they will take the tickets up to the game on the supporters bus.
  6. Ipswich commentary.... "Southampton are definitiely on top now"
  7. Brother in Chapel thinks he touched it too. Still, who cares - no goal given!
  8. Ipswich commentators think one of their guys touched it before it went it.
  9. anyone know the attendance?
  10. Text from brother at ground says "Better team lost!" Still, it's the team that scores the most that wins ... and that was Saints! So, not only out of the relegation zone by Christmas, but also into the top half. I'd have taken that at the start of the season. COYR - let's push on to the playoffs in the second half of the season.
  11. frequent "what's happening now" updates would be appreciated by those of us with no commentary. thanks.
  12. Yes, club confirms plenty of tickets available on the gate. COYR
  13. So, HT, Saints are winning and all three of the playoff teams who are playing are losing. That'll do me at 5pm.
  14. Link please
  15. Oops - 12 points actually I see.
  16. Does anyone have the data required to put together a week by week assessment of how many points we needed to get into the playoffs? We started off 10 points off them (with our -10 and everyone else's 0), I think we were 18(?) points off them a few weeks ago and now it is back to 10. It would be interesting to keep a watch on it as the season goes by too. I have to say I am getting cautiously optimistic that we might just squeak in there by the end of the season.
  17. I think we would now be in the playoffs if it wasn't for our -10.
  18. Could it be Gavyn Davis? I used to garden for his dad when I was a nipper. Saints fans through and through. Now that would be the icing on the cake.
  19. Agreed. My daughter took £80 with her that various footballing fans (not all Saints by any means) had given her in support of the club on the assumption there was bound to be a bucket collection. But no, she had to take it to the ticket office at the end of the game. Definitely a trick missed I feel.
  20. ah got it, cheers
  21. Thanks but no coverage up here in Cumbria - need internet commentary.
  22. Anyone getting saintstv commentary tonight? No broadcast as far as I can see. Commentary anywhere else?
  23. I'm getting increasingly encouraged here. Does anyone know where I can get the best odds for Saints to get promoted - not top, just promoted?
  24. Cumbria Saint storms in to make it five......... .......but uses up one of his 3 posts doing it. Anyway I can't contribute much because I have no commentary so I'll just have to listen to your valuable updates and discussion!
