Nathaniel Clyne Joins Liverpool - Official
Saint Charlie replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Koeman has also been rather disrespectful towards Feyenoord re his comments about Vilhena and Clasie. -
Its Alex Crook so almost certainly utter ********.

Halfway through his contract, probably unlikely to sign a new one so next summer he will be in the same position as Clyne and Jay Rod are this summer. There will doubtless be some interest in him this summer after a superb season where he has really improved and arguably has been more consistent than Schneiderlin. He has also stated he wants to play Champions League again as all the top players do. With potentially a declining transfer value after this summer due to his contract status, would it perhaps be the best time to cash in, or will we make a similar deal as with Morgan last summer that he stays one more year and then can leave with the Club's blessing? The fact Morgan is leaving probably makes it less likely that Wanyama will but not impossible. My opinion: Would imagine the latter as they won't want to lose Vic and Morgan at the same time and would look to resist all offers for him. Will be interesting if anyone comes in firmly for him though, and if he maybe feels he has done his time here and set himself up in the PL, ready for a move to one of the big guns. Guess he would be in the £20m bracket with age and potential factored in.

Long over Mane? Madness. Mane is our best attacker.
-
Sunderland were hopeless that day and since then we average about a goal per game and have not scored in a fair few. Bmth have been scoring for fun all season.
-
Bertrand is 5th choice LB. He might get the odd squad appearance, but little more IMO.

1. Who was the last Saints outfield player who got in the squad on a semi regular basis and didn't want to leave the club? 2. Why do fans go on and on about how certain players should be selected, get really annoyed when they aren't, happy when they finally are and then seem suprised when they leave the club in the next approaching transfer window which has happened to virtually all our recent England players? 3. Can anyone see a Saints player in future making over 200 apps for the club whilst also having a semi decent England career?

Draw going to be a good result in this one if we bat well.

Is this a serious thread? Carlsberg, Fosters and Carling are pretty much all a disgrace. Many far, far better beers available. I was under the impression that people only chose to drink those three if they either want the cheapest beer and don't care if it tastes nice, or have just never tried anything else.

This could be from April 2013 or April 2014. Hopefully its spot on.
-
United result probably helping Clyne get over the disappointment of being dropped yesterday.
-
City have enough winnable home games left to finish fourth even if they stumble home.
-
City could sure do with Alderweireld...their CBs are poor. Including Kompany.
-
Then the lack of bowling depth kicked in.
-
Not with our current performance levels as we would need to win all our remaining games most likely.
-
Exactly. Better to have quality on his left than medicore on his right. As long as he can shift the ball to his better foot it is the same as any quality player - they want to use their best foot. As least he has one. A guy near me today wondered if either of Long's feet were decent. Harsh but (maybe) fair.
-
He beat his man and put in a left footed cross? Does it matter? Surely the point is he got a cross in rather than shank it out of play or hit it at the keeper ala Long.
-
Think we are over used to having a class CM who bosses the game and always picks the right pass whilst being great defensively. Will definitely miss that next year. Its a £30m comodity.
-
Clyne said in a major national paper interview last Saturday that the main difference between Koeman and MP is that Ronald gives him more license to get forward and trusts his attacking play more rather than sticking rigidly to a team shape. Maybe we are just more selective of when to do it.
-
A few times Schneiderlin played lovely crossfield passes to a Saints player who made a run. Then realised it was to Long. Similar to when Lambert and Lallana were linking up with Dany N'Guessan. Leagues apart.
-
Agree and would change your fee to 30m. Good to see you, Graeme and his nipper today.
-
Agree. I was not hopeful but he is still capable. Great club man.
-
Good luck to them. They are a good side and Eddie Howe is a good Manager and a decent bloke. Really hope they come up and stay up. They might not be a traditional rival, but if they come up then they will be a rival next season and anyone who denies that is wrong IMO. Those games would have an added spice.
-
Top 4 chance now gone? Europa Thoughts?
Saint Charlie replied to Saint Charlie's topic in The Saints
Are we good enough? Since January its been scrappy so big ask for us to win virtually all the games left. We are where we deserve to be IMO. The teams in the top four just have the individual class that separates them. Wouldn't suprise me to see City win tomorrow anyway. -
Palace have won 25/36 points available since Pardew took over.
