A team needs allsorts. We didnt have anyone yesterday who gained yards with the ball and actually committed defenders. We would certainly be a more dangerous team if we did have someone of that ilk. I'm slightly confused as to why Townsend is treated with such distain yet many mention Redmond as a great option.

Seen that this morning. Good team that play in a style which will suit him. Hard to see him wanting to sit on the bench all the time, and if we have no intention of extending his contract then surely we won't want to lose him for free next summer. Can see this happening. Although could only take place if we absolutely know that Morgan is staying.

I thought he played very well considering he hasnt had a friendly and only played once since May. He is so classy on the ball, you can see why any PL team would want him. As Shurlock said, with him our centre midfield is up there, I would say the best apart from the top 5/6.

Good summary. Agree that Tadic looks like he could cause havoc in a central role just off the striker. Not a pacy wide player but more of a clever type. Would do well inside. JWP better second half when he made some positive runs with and without the ball. His technique is unquestionable so would be great to see him add some genuine attacking intent to his game.
