  1. Hard question but many of Lambert's were actually unsaveable. Superb technique and had a fair few pressure ones too.
  2. A few others also saying this. Would be a shame and hopefully not a sign that the Board couldn't get the deal done.
  3. Sterling should start, the most in form attacker we have.
  4. Ben Smith is in control of the story. Blackmore probably had no say on when its released. Maybe they only found out about it now. As for the unsettling of Shaw, there have been rumours since he was in our U18s and they havent done him any harm. There is no anti Saints sentiment to any of it and Blackmore is IMO the best local Journalist who covers Saints and the best connected by quite some distance.
  5. I know its School holidays but you are barking up the wrong tree with Blackmore and generally how everything, media, football, Saints etc works. Blackmore works as BBC Journalist, not a Saints supporter liasion officer and is just doing his job and doing it well. Just because the message isnt to our liking, its not his fault and basically he has to be aware of the central BBC hierarcy, ie. Ben Smith et al - he can hardly contradict them. Go to a holiday camp or play Playstation with your pals and just see how it all unfolds.
  6. Source? If that is correct as stated then he won't be coming because its almost certain that Shaw is gone, plus Lallana very likely too. He might well be seeking assurances beyond those but I would think anyone coming in knows they won't have those two at their disposal unless there is a huge change in the landscape.
  7. Maybe just give him the decent reception he deserves then move on.
  8. Bruce would have to kick up a fuss to speak to us officially so probably won't get to that stage unless he is the no 1 choice. If we like Koeman so much then just get it wrapped up.
  9. He got rid of us. This always happens when a player or Manager goes. Fact is, he is/was a great Manager and it would have been great to have kept him.
  10. If we do get him then fair play to the Board, they must have sold him something pretty good so would be a good sign. Also nice to get a Manager that seemingly the vast majority of fans are actually pleased with.
  11. West Ham ITK says we will be competing for Kolo with them. They have bid 3.5m but Nice want nearer 6m.
  12. They won't appoint Sherwood.
  13. Most of the Koeman stories from Holland, Spain etc are quoting the Daily Echo as their source which is worrying. If its that close then there might be something more concrete being reported?
  14. Moyes isn't coming here and would be on a downer anyway, has no real evidence of trusting young players and has no playing philosophy particularly. Koeman for me.
  15. Hopefully not. Would rather play them once the window has closed.
  16. He is a complete wally.
  17. He isn't off the radar by any means.
  18. Bookies lower odds when big money comes in. Their odds arent an indication of anything other than what people are betting on.
  19. Chambers very good but Shaw phenomenal. Has never been mugged off defensively and has an extra gear going forward (maybe two) than Chambers. His final ball will improve, but he has put loads of good crosses in last season, just often nobody in to score from 5 yards.
  20. And AFCB probably allowed him to speak to us. If Fulham havent then Magath will need to kick up a fuss, which puts him in a difficult position unless he knows he is very likely to get the job.
  21. Decent set of games, will probably go to Bournemouth and Brighton. Can't imagine this was what MP was "planning" with Reed though. Expect a couple of top tier European teams at SMS early August and that would be fairly good. Perhaps the Club feel with the work done at the TG there is no point going on tour, might as well use our facilities.
  22. Not if, as reported, he will have to kick up a fuss to be allowed to hold talks with us, as would be a bit awkward for him if he then doesnt get the job. If he pushes hard to speak to us then its because he is firmly in the hunt.
  23. If we asked Fulham to speak to him then he is obviously very high up the list. How many times do you see clubs approach in work Managers and then decide on someone else? Answer: not often because it ruins the position of the Manager at his Club. Magath, at the current time would be a silly one. Fans want Koeman, would give the club a lift...seems a no brainer.
  24. Be weird to approach Fulham for Magath unless we really want him. If he kicks up a fuss to be able to speak to us and then we don't offer him the job then he is in a poor position with Fulham. Can only assume we either want him over Koeman, or the reports are not true and just based on shortening odds. But then some people must be putting big money on him...
  25. Would be suprised.
