This. Also good theres now no Intls til March.

Didn't deserve to be on the losing team today. Just on the way back and he was superb in midfield with Morgan. Seeing as he took quite a bit of stick last week, he was excellent today and is a massive part of our success so far this season. He was also very good on the ball in a congested midfield area, and in truth is a significant upgrade from Cork.

If Lallana was out then I would expect Osvaldo to start.

Southampton will stay out of January transfer market, says Pochettino

We promoted a few youth players in the summer but still brought players in. It isn't a choice, either or. We were never going to be in for lots in January, perhaps just one. -
I can't see any of our players asking for a rest to be honest.
-
He was/is a good Manager but we found a better one. Simple really.
-
Of course we will never "know" that Adkins wouldn't have done the same. But he obviously wouldn't.
-
Usually when players arent in the Thursday training they are out. VMAN?
-
This floated about in the summer too. Can't see he would be too keen on a move there at this stage.
-
JWP should be on attacking free kicks now for me.
-
Paul Mitchell.

After the turgid Intls it will be good to have some proper footy back. Ten players certain to start if fit then either RL or Osvaldo. MP might go for the mobility of Osvaldo...good options to have anyway.
-
Walker was awful. Out of position as much as Fox is for us but often his pace bails him out. Never makes a meaningful attacking contribution.
-
Well Joey Barton thinks Shaw and JWP should be in the starting lineup
-
Not bothered of the result, hope our players are fit for Saturday.
-
Agree to a point but its not to cover, it should be strengthening to improve.

International football as a whole is so underwhelming.

For a Saints fan, I personally find Peach tries to overcompensate and ends up being rather harsh. Clearly if JR continues to develop as he has been then he will get more caps, regardless of tonight. Absolute folly to suggest an Intl career is decided on 45mins, especially when you have troubled better defences than Chile's in the league.
-
Simon Peach, Journo said after 45mins his Intl career would be over if he didnt do more second half...
-
As it stands, do we have a better team than ENGLAND?
Saint Charlie replied to Glasgow_Saint's topic in The Saints
Not necesaarily better players but tactically miles better and superior at getting the best out of the teams best players. -
This.

Huge lack of a proper holding CM. Bizarre tactics. Lallana a threat when he is allowed to come inside. Collective pressing is LOL compared to Saints.
-
Yep, feed Rooney to the Chileans and save the 4th choice striker for the bigger game against Germany, who, due to Hodgson's mindgames will not be expecting to face the burly Scouser. You crackpot. It is what it is, he has a minor injury.
-
Lallana and JRod expected to start, and Lambert would have but for injury. Expected team: Forster; Johnson, Cahill, Jones, Baines; Milner, Wilshere, Lampard; Lallana, Rodriguez, Rooney Hopefully it will be Milner wide right, Jay wide left and AL behind Rooney. http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/england-v-chile-southampton-duo-2794649
