  1. Thanks, I understand now. Any reason you prefer Erazo? Apart from the fact he is cheaper?
  2. Hard to tell with strikers from the Dutch league on the whole. For every Suarez theres an Afonso Alves or Maeco Rigters.
  3. Any takers on the first #saintsfc moron to take a pic of themselves queuing outside the megastore?
  4. In reality, it will look crap worn by pub fatties but probably fine on professionals.
  5. Would look best IMO with white logos and white shorts and socks. Away shirt should be class.
  6. The actual kit is fine for what it is, a football kit. The gold wouldn't be my choice but its laughbale how much people seem to get bothered by it all. Its a football kit.
  7. Doing business quietly and behind the scenes as ever.
  8. Its not that bad. Would be better with the sponsor and badges in white but hardly worth the vitriole some on here have given it. Better than last year IMO.
  9. More than you have provided us with pal. Although you are trying very hard to be the forum hardman. Bless.
  10. Not a player transfer, but it looks like Dean Wilkins might be doing back to Brighton to work with their development squad. I know a number of our players (AOC and AL especially) spoke very highly of him, and he remained after Pardew et al went. Good move for a good coach.
  11. Good to know! Haha.
  12. Hmmm: http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/21572450 From last week's postbag; In the last couple of weeks Ecuadorian centre-back Frickson Erazo has been linked to Real Madrid and Manchester United. I was wondering: is he really that good? At 24 he must surely be good enough to strengthen the club's squad if they are interested in him. I also heard that he is an elegant but slow defender. From your opinion what are his strengths and weaknesses on the pitch? Leocheck Pardish It's very hard to believe that clubs of this calibre are really interested in Fricson Erazo - of Barcelona, so he will face Boca on Wednesday. He has a fair left foot and has moments of elegance, but he's very vulnerable defensively, with a centre of gravity somewhere near his neck. He's also not good at cutting out crosses played behind the defensive line. Indeed, Boca's best hope on Wednesday is the fact that Jairo Campos, Barcelona's best defender, is out with a long-term injury.
  13. Its not an old link, has date on the site. Its just that they will never have heard of Billy Sharp and probably translated an English article about him. They probably know nothing about Southampton, which if anything gives the link more credence.
  14. Especially because Stephens are Turnbull are both good prospects and the club will want to be able to give them a fighting chance. I think one of Hooiveld and Fonte is as good as gone, probably both if we were to bring another CB in.
  15. Which I have never said, certainly not recently and certainly not as a comparison. By referencing th costs of Erazo and Wanyama, Buctootim was clearly comparing them which is pointless as they are different positions. Anyway, he is a highly rated player, experienced yet only 25 and for about 3m is not too much of a gamble.
  16. As anticipated in recent days, Frickson Erazo be lowered Barcelona template to migrate to English football that came flirting since early this year. The defending Idol Shipyard 'meets his employer, Orlando Villareal, deciding the best destination for their future. The player Esmeraldas has formal offer of Southampton in England who, to crystallize the transfer, get his second signing in this market after signing the midfielder Billy Sharp from the Nottingham Forest. The price of the transfer amount to $ 3.8 million in a deal that aims to be the second major economic boost to the coffers of the 'Toreros' having skinny as illustrated finance audits.
  17. Completely different position pal.
  18. He missed out the key quote. "Me personally, I think it would be a very good move for Victor in terms of his career going forward, but there seem to be other parties wanting to block the deal. Hopefully Lennon can get in his ear. Also interesting Lennon doesn't say Wanyama doesn't want to come here.
  19. Lennon: Lennon responded today by saying the club were not trying to force Wanyama to move, but he did add that he felt St Mary’s would be a good fit for the midfielder. "We accepted a bid from Southampton," said Lennon. "We've done nothing wrong in our eyes, as always, and the ball is firmly in the court of Victor's representatives. "We’ve dealt with it as professionally as possible. All we did was accept a bid from Southampton, a very good, progressive club. "Me personally, I think it would be a very good move for Victor in terms of his career going forward, but there seem to be other parties wanting to block the deal. "These negotiations take a long time. We felt the money was right for us, a good business deal for the club. Whether it resurfaces again, I don't know. "The fact we've accepted a bid would tell you that we feel that matches our valuation of the player, and if a club does that you look at it. I don't know where we are with it at the minute but there seems to be a bit of a stand-off.”
  20. Not sure you spend a few weeks agreeing a 12m investment to just walk away at the first hint of hassle. To those who say we already have two good DMs I would suggest that if we had 3 we wouldn't have had 4 points from the first 10 games last year....its a squad game.
  21. Hopefully it will be sorted, the agent will bow to the pressure and Wanyama realise we are the right club to push him on. He is a very good player...
  22. I've written both off.
  23. It is off the pitch, completely different to on it where his attitude is exemplary. Odd bloke Tevez.
  24. Im whelmed by the prospect of Hooper. Neither over nor under, just whelmed
