Obviously not now. Seems like Koeman trusts him more now whichwas part of the issue and due to Pelle's injury he has a run of games up front which he hadn't had before. Will be interesting to see at which point he puts Pelle back in instead of Long. He still misses far too many presentable chances for me, but obviously has good games also. A quality finisher would have scored a hattrick versus Arsenal and finished excellent chances against Palace and Norwich away. Long term do I think he will be a key player for us? No. He is too erratic. But would be silly to sell now unless someone offered us at least £10m back, which won't happen.

Doubt we will go 3 CBs for this as they only play 1 up front and are quite defensive. So expect at least one change. Sure they also will defend deep and not leave any space in behind. Another game where an early goal is so beneficial.

Plus he has been injured and we have another game in a short time. Sensible sub with the game won.

Another win on Sat and we can start trying to catch some of those teams. Kind of weird given how good they look at times that we have won more PL games than Everton.

Surely he plays every game from now One negative: - We need far too many chances to score and won't always get as many as today. Too many players are not ruthless in front of goal and its the biggest reason for our league position not being as high as would be ideal. Question: Will Koeman try and fit Wanyama and Pelle into the team on Saturday? Especially given the close proximity of the games. Would be great to start seeing some selection consistency. As stated earlier. Koeman believes 3 CBs is best versus a front 2. Spurs did it recently against Watford. He is just following his beliefs which might be wrong, but at least its consistent. Also allows Mane to play centrally plus good sub options in attack.

The local media seem to believe its 532 with Bertrand the third CB. Targett needs to show more going forward than he has so far.

Haller isn't good enough to provide competition to Pelle IMO. Watch a highlights package on YT and if thats the highlights...

Its probably the game best suited to it if Koeman believes a front two requires a back 3 as their front two are 1.) good and 2.) an actual front two as opposed to the mythical front two Palace have. Personally I wouldn't. But if he does then it shows consistency of thinking.

Shows how poor the season has been that it is hard to really make a good case for anyone. All those who were here last season were better then and of the signings only Van Dijk is a possible so far.

Apparently Iturbe was pretty poor for Bournemouth when he came on and didnt really track back at all.

Most likely not, but better to keep those below us a safe distance away at least until our form improves, hopefully starting tomorrow.
