Pelle, Austin, Jay Rod or Long?
Saint Charlie replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
I'm working on a loan...... deal for Long at..... the MOMENT to get rid of (his wages) Davie. -
How do you work that out?!
-
Reed isn't good enough on the ball to play that role. Davis would be a huge miss. He been excellent in the last couple of games.
-
Yes for a player that has struggled at Porto.

He is a goalscorer rather than an allround quality player. -

Where Doyen have been involved its hardly a suprise. -
We brought in Lewis from Shrewsbury with a bit of fanfare so the writing was probably on the wall for him then. Having said that, the clips Ive seen of Lewis so far aren't overly impressive.

It was. And Crook did his usual regurgitation for the Mirror which I imagine Sibley just laughs at. Like everyone else.
-
Liked how various commentators called him "Ormeroid" or "Oh-merod". Gave Brett an added mystique IMO which helped his career.
-
Austin is in a physical way to play.
-
Can you do an article about it in the new Fanzine?

As above, age 39. Played 98 games and scored 13 goals for Saints. Good memories of Brett during his time at Saints. FA Cup semi goal a great moment, amazing to be there that day at Villa Park and a good, hard working pro who had a penchant for scuffed shots when well placed. Great foil for Beattie. Nice looking lad too:

I think opponents didnt know what to expect from him, much like his teammates. Didn't fit the typical L1 striker profile!

CONFIRMED: Saints sign Juanmi on four-year deal

Nothing really suggests that, but fair enough. -

What do we do with our young talents ? - Sell them, of course.
Saint Charlie replied to david in sweden's topic in The Saints
Ah ok, yeah I guess the key difference with the names he mentioned is that the clubs weren't playing those players, they were not key members of the team and also in most of those cases weren't homegrown. They also were in positions to buy in what they (perhaps questionably) felt at the time were superior players. -

Have read this a couple of times and still not sure what the point it is. Sorry Davie. -
