  1. Not at all, I served with many Southern Irish in the RN in the 70s and 80s who had SC clearance and even higher. So many of your comments are based on little or no real knowledge where do you get this stuff from, and don't quote the fact we all know that you are submariner.
  2. I have been using an EROS vaporiser for over 4 months, after 45 years a smoker. I fully endorse matyg1950's comments. In the past I have tried the patches, gum inhalers, will power etc but like you I enjoy the habit as much as the addiction. It is working well for me I truly feel that I have given up tobacco.
  3. Sorry forgot teh important but: Optimax Bristol, both eyses 5 years ago about £3k but paid interest free over 2 years.
  4. The delicious irony of a Yes vote would be that the SNP no longer have a reason to exist. There would have to be a quick General Election which would result in either a Labour victory or a hung parliament with Labour as the biggest party. I do not believe the Scots will vote yes, the risks are to great on currency, EU membership, oil price volatility and pension affordability. The pools are very difficult to judge, it has been widely reported that the unknowns are the key and I am sure when faced with the choice between the status quo, even if means the occasional Tory Government, and the unknown the vast majority will vote no.
  5. The term bigger is to subjective, The Vile are definitely more famous and are an original member. Today they have slipped way down but not as far as some of their Victorian contemporaries. The future is more red and white than claret and blue so get on th bus bus Vlarr.
  6. Wow, more people support Man U, Scouse, Gooners, City Chelsea than saints!!!! Living in Bath I am often surprised by the number of SFC shirts I see around. That they are not on sale in the sports shop chains is club policy. s to barca etc I know many fans of english clubs who also own these types of shirt, they are alomost accepted as neutral.
  7. More like inept posting! How would you calculate the value of Southampton FC's Shirt sponsorship?
  8. Definitely,Ron is still our greatest striker of the last 60 years.
  9. Rickie should stay. If we want a current saint then it has to be Kelvin.I also believe that the Bobby stokes should be up there, with a skate shirt just to show those retards at the other end of the m 27 that we are above any pettiness!
  10. Agree, but when they endlessly reapeat it and modify it and contradict it and repeat it............................. it does get a tad tiresome, more quality less quantity and less abuse wouldny go amiss.
  11. This is an exciting appointment, as disappointed as I was with MoPo's departure it seems we are not reverting to a journeyman manager. I also feel that RK is coming for the right reasons it is not a stepping stone he has been around to long for that. The futures bright the future red and white.
  12. This is the most disrespectful and contemptuous post ever on this forum.
  13. It is simple, we have many very good players and other teams want them. We all enjoyed the media reporting on SFC last season, no other club finishing 8th has received so many accolades and provided 3 players for the England team at a world cup. It was always going to be a very challenging close season. If SRL goes to Liverpool I wish him well, finishing his career at his home town team and playing CL football is no less than he deserves.
  14. Like it especially where he said he used to be a Chelsea fan.
  15. Voting records, milking the system et al is not the issue, the issue is that UKIP is nothing more than a protest party, it will do well in these Euro elections but as its profile and representation increases its shallowness and foundations of sand will be its undoing. The one good outcome is that the mainstream political parties might, just might, wake up and realise that they are representatives of the people not our leaders!
  16. If she was getting a tan then I would be worried.
  17. Farage is now claiming that the Eurovsion Song Contest is proof positive that the UK can not get a fair deal in Europe! And still they will vote for him, i despair, I am no fan of DC but yestaerday he was spot on when he said UKIP has no answers only questions.
  18. Couldnt they find a candidate closer to home...oh sorry Southanpton is the nearest place to Portsmouth with real footballers.
  19. Nige (everyone’s best mate down the pub) Farage came to Bath last week and was promptly shown the door when he went to the Bell in Walcot street, a pub that is owned by its customers and one of the best known in Bath. Thankfully it seems a lot of my fellow Bathonians are not taken in by his false patriotism and cheeky chappy approach. As for a real job can it really be compared to what most of us do to earn a crust. Don’t be fooled Farage is in it for Farage.
  20. This argument is getting a bit tired, the antidote to this argument is that significantly increasing normal peoples wages is genuinely life changing, £30 or £40k to £90k - £120k and it is easy and logical to understand why that most people would take it. The converse is that once you realise a certain income level, take an average prem footballer moving from £1.2m or so to £2.5 - £3m, the actual impact it has on thier lifestyle and financial choices is less noticeable. There is a theoretical income level know as the psychic salary, this refers to what change in income you would be prepared to accept to move jobs, this can be positive and negative, if you like your job, your colleagues, your bosses, your location and have been treated well then it will be positivie the amount of positivity is down to the individual, if on the other hand one or more of these areas really gets to you the positivity of your psychic salary will diminish and may well go negative. The exception that proves the rule are the greedy and selfish for whom money is everything, perhaps football has more than its fair share but it is not exclusively populated by them.
  21. I have a different and perhaps naive take on all of this. The club in the form of the first team squad and manager recognise and appreciate what they are part of and truly want to stay together and build on what they have achieved this season.
