As someone else said surely he'll need some other coaches to work with him?
-
There's a long queue I'm afraid.
-
The whole thing smacks of loonatics being in charge of the asylum.
-
Yeah plus Ankersen can't afford to waste any more of Dragan's hard earned - pigs need feeding you know.
-
Well if it's 3 losses it'll mean we've been knocked out of the FA Cup at home to Grimsby.
-
Those two would be enough to send most sane people running to the hills. Probably explains why we ended up with Mad Nate.
-
Those three are probably right back in the frame though not sure any of them would take a short term contract.
-
I think we'll end up with someone far less able than Jessie Marsch as, once again, the board and owners demonstrate new levels of incompetence.
-
What like they had someone they'd tracked and wanted like Nathan Jones?
-
It's commonly known as Ankersen.
-
Maybe just get the letter S removed.
-
Having seen how they perform at fan's forums I imagine fairly lengthy talks with Ankersen and Semmens would be enough to put anyone off joining this basket case of a football club.
-
More likely Roy Hodgson.
-
If he keeps us up he'll have done something extraordinary so I don't think we'd be keeping him out of duty it would be on merit.
-
We're not getting Potter. If he's sacked by Chelsea he's hardly likely to swap that for a relegation battle at a club that has been completely mismanaged by the board/owners.
-
If he can then fair play but I'm pretty sure it's easier said than done unless you have a squad of very talented players who are all great athletes. Most clubs don't.
-
Agree, I did mention that as one of the problems he'll inherit 🙂
-
There's an excellent series of videos on his time at Salzburg on Redbull.com which I've started watching. He has a young Erling Haaland in the squad. Marsch is clearly very driven and determined to be a success. He comes across very well.

Clearly one of the main problems for Jessie Marsh, or whoever we appoint, is the inability to defend our goal. Marsch will have his work cut out because he likes a high press which invariably leaves his sides very vulnerable on the counter attack. Also, we are prone to ridiculous errors that gift goals to opponents and do not have a decent 'keeper at the club. I think we'll create a lot more chances but can we keep the ball out of our net with the players at his disposal? Maybe the two full backs will have to be more selective in when and how often they raid forward, choose their moments and not be too reckless. Also, are we fit enough as a group to maintain a high press? You'd think it should be slightly easier to manage with 5 subs available. I'm looking forward to seeing how we go about things tactically. We need wins rather than draws so Marsch will have to factor that in. I still think we are going down but it could be an exciting ride and maybe he will pull off a miracle.
-
Obviously you have an alternative who would take the job and do better than Marsch.
-
Agree entirely. The likes of Merson, Crooks and Morrison only get gigs because they are ex pros not because they talk any kind of sense.
-
Maybe he'll get us to Wembley twice! There is still much to play for this season so let's hope JM, if appointed, hits the ground running. I'll give him my backing and I'm not sure we could have done a whole lot better in our current predicament.
-
When can we expect the official announcement?
-
Isn't it time all the constant verbal abuse and swearing at referees at the top level is dealt with as well. Ok, there aren't physical attacks but some of the vervbal abuse is horrendous. Time to take a leaf out of the rugby refereeing book.

Not sure how this video has any of the hallmarks of the Jones training video. All I see is a manager giving a good half time rallying call to his players. What am I missing?
