I read an interesting article on AMN yesterday - can't find it now but basically it debated whether he could do a job for Arsenal. The writer raved over his performance against Chelsea and stated that they tried 3 forwards down his side and AMN saw them all off by outmuscling them and bullying them. There were also details of his stats for the game which were very good. I can't judge because I didn't see the whole game but generally the opinions on here about AMN vary from being lazy/useless through to being good. Merson also raved about him on Sky on Saturday. So, should he retain his spot at right back even if KWP is fully fit? I think he will if Ruben Selles saw the things the writer of the article saw. Trouble is, most of us would like to see KWP in the side. Which leads me to wonder whether KWP could replace Elyounoussi and play in front of Perraud on the left side. I think they'd be a great pair and KWP is better going forward, dribbling and creating than Elyounoussi. Having said that, for the Leeds game I'd play KWP on the right of midfield and Stu on the left because I think he'd help AMN against their young speedy winger so I'd go for; Baz AMN ABK Salisu Perraud JWP Lavia KWP Stu Tall Paul Kamaldeen

After a clean sheet at Chelsea I doubt Selles will change the back 4 even though I prefer yours.

Unlike others I would be happy with a point as I think the loss of 2 home points hurts Leeds a lot more than us losing 2 away points. Of course, I would love a win but even a draw is good for us and keeps momentum going. Let's not lose though, that would be disappointing even in what will be a very tough game.

Not convinced you'll need 40 points to secure 17th spot.

Our away form is quite respectable with 4 wins. Now Ruben Selles will need to see if he can address our problems at home because our only win so far was against Chelsea. If he can do that and continue to pick up points on the road we will have a decent chance of escaping relegation. Our home form is the major issue and it must be resolved quickly or we will be relegated.

Don't necessarily agree but I think he'll stick with Bednarek especially as we won yesterday and kept a clean sheet, I'd expect to see the same back four against Leeds.

Very good post match interviews. One of the things that really impresses me is that Ruben comes across as honest in his responses and also he maintains eye contact with the journalist asking the question. His body language and demeanour encourage you to trust him. I appreciate it is early days and we are still getting to know him in the various situations he will face but the early signs are that he is a great guy with many brilliant attributes - he looks and sounds more like an experienced coach who has been doing the job for a long time. As amicable as he comes across I detect a steely resolve that shows he expects a lot and will be willing to speak out if players let him down so not just a mr nice guy and I think that's important,

This kid is a brilliant footballer.

I get that many of us disagreed with the starting eleven )I know I did) and may have viewed the subs as slightly strange. However, you have to look at the way Selles set those players up and what he managed to eke out of them to achieve a very impressive win. I also don't buy the bit about Chelsea being in poor form - doesn't the same apply to us and haven't they spent millions more on top quality players? Selles for me did a number on Potter who is a very well thought of manager (unless you support Chelsea). I'm not saying give Selles a 3 year contract now but he's raised the interest levels and given us fans some hope that this might be more than a false dawn by every step he's made so far.

Some have commented that results didn't go our way but they perhaps miss the bigger picture. Ours was the stand out result, a WTF moment for the fans, officials and players of other clubs. Those sides in and around the relegation positions would, prior to this game, have been viewing us as certs to go down meaning they only had two other sides to finish above to be safe. Yesterday that comfort blanket was ripped from them and this heaps huge extra pressure on them. Under a caretaker manager few would have known anything about who had only had a few days in overall charge, Selles oversaw a performance of grit, determination and no little skill that would have set alarm bells ringing at every club facing potential relegation. I think it sent shock waves that will resonate and generate unease in quite a number of clubs. Brilliant performance and result that should give us momentum and a huge confidence boost.

Nathan Jones just interviewed and said the win today was 100% down to him because he taught Selles all he knows. Also said he saw himself in today's team.
-
Something for your algorithms and spreadsheet Rasmus - Nathan Jones 1 win in 8 games away to Everton, Ruben 1 win in 1 game away to Chelsea. Ankersen went out for tripe when he had steak in the fridge. Costly, costly lesson and maybe the subject for your next page turner.
-
Stats show we had 5 on target and so did they. We scored one, were the away side and cost one millionth of their squad - apart from that, yeah, worrying.
-
People need to realise that our win was the coupon buster.
-
Great win and double. Well done Ruben - didn't agree with team selection but said I'd judge on the performance and that showed you have a bit about you. Couldn't give a shit about other results - we can only influence our own games. Imagine if we beat Leeds away next week!
-
Leeds and Wolves might disagree.
-
Why no KWP for AMN?
-
The job's your's if you want it Ruben!
-
On the contrary, that's what we want and expect.
-
I'd play Adam Armstrong at centre back ahead of Bednarek.
-
Well, nobody factored in that he'd kick Salisu in training yesterday.
-
Whereas Bednarek scored yet keeps his place - there's no consistency.
-
I'm guessing maybe the DCC bust up was much worse than we thought and Orsic is backing his fellow countryman.
-
Don't forget the other Bednarek speciality - concede one quickly followed by another.
-
I think most of us were expecting a reset and some fresh ideas. This looks like a side Nathan Jones would have picked.
