If we win this tough away game and do it in some style it'll put down a marker that we can be considered early contenders for promotion. A draw would be ok with me and maybe even a narrow defeat. Anything else will ramp up the pressure to replace some of those who've been sold and bring in some new faces. Looking forward to seeing how the game unfolds because it's a difficult one to call.

Certainly not, that's only just over £15 million. He's worth more in today's market.

Thought RM said the injury to Smallbone is nowhere near as bad as first feared. He's ruled him out for this weekend but intimated he'll be back sooner rather than later so I wouldn't expect that to run into months.
-
Is Downes coming though? I'm not sure I buy the food poisoning line. Feels more like we've been gazumped and he's been tapped up by a Prem club. Rather than come clean I think the food poisoning story has been concocted by his agent and, after the weekend when a bit of the dust has settled, we'll suddenly learn that a Prem side needs him and a deal has been done. Hopefully though they're still trying to prise him off the pan but, either way, it's beginning to stink.

As an example what does Haaland do other than put the ball in the back of the net.
-
Makes it all the more strange that RM doesn't consider him good enough to start games.
-
Who said he's Glenn Hoddle? 1 or 2 decent passes...clearly you haven't watched any videos of him. Let's judge him if he comes although I doubt he will.

Armstrong certainly hasn't scored the goals we'd hoped he would. However, at the fans forum RM stated that he's never been played in the right way and I completely agree with this. The guy has lived off scraps. Now whether RM can get the side playing to Armstrong's strengths is another matter but I believe he is a genuine goalscorer who has been used in completely the wrong way. Nobody can tell me he's missed dozens of chances because he just hasn't had many in the system employed since he was signed.

Because Grimes can make pinpoint passes that none of them can.

Papering over the cracks.

Sounds like our worst nightmare 🙂

Not for me to say.

Where does this leave the credibility of the Circle of Trust?

The article suggest that we might lose KWP to Arsenal to cover them after their new right back Julien Timber sustained a bad injury.

A blind scout from a team with dodgy medical staff - probably few of them about.

RM disagreed.

Well, compared to Ankersen maybe.

RM obviously expected the question on Baz and seemed a little frosty at any criticism and quickly launched into a detailed defence of the keeper. His loyalty to the guy is laudable and he certainly came out in no uncertain terms to praise him and stress that they trust him. Whether that trust and loyalty is misplaced will become clear over the coming weeks and months but he has openly expressed his belief in Baz so will be rightly praised if he turns out to be on the money. If it goes pear shaped he'll be in for some criticism because many fans are far from convinced about the guy's ability. Bazunu must now repay RM's faith in him with some decent performances and I hope he does.

Agree, thought they both came across very well especially Jason Wilcox. I think he'll make a huge difference to the running and direction of the football club.
-
I look forward to Baz putting in a string of performances to prove he is, as claimed, the best goalkeeper in the Championship.

Sorry, Andi Zeiri 🙂

Google Andre Zeqiri skills videos and watch. He looks decent.
-
Wouldn't mind him.

Romeu went early in the season, ABK and Tino barely played, Salisu played a bit but wasn't interested, Sully and DCC joined late and played a handful of games so only JWP and Lavia could be considered to have made major contributions to last season.
