Ipswich don't play until Sunday so if we can beat Swansea we go level on points and that piles on extra pressure.

Comfortable win apart from one little wobble when they hit the bar. Felt like we had another 3 or 4 gears if needed. Cam Archer had an excellent game capped off by a smart finish. Shame the same can't be said for Matsuki - how on earth did he miss after Larin laid it on a plate? It's going to be an interesting run-in. The unbeaten run continues - on to Swansea for what will be a tough game but we go with confidence and no fear.

Fellows needs to stop fannying about, beat a few, cut in and smash the ball into the top corner.
-
8 points clear of Wrexham as things stand. Play-offs are taken care of. Now chase down 2nd - still a long shot but not as long as it was at 20.00 tonight.

Very professional first half and well in control. Archer has done well especially the set up for Larin. Charles was exceptional for the second. Could do with more goals to close the gap on Ipswich because that could well be a factor the way things are panning out. Starting to think 2nd place could be on and pressure being heaped on Ipswich and the rest.

Great pass by Matsuki for the goal - shades of Azaz 🙂
-
Slightly concerned we're without Azaz and Leo doesn't start - two goal scorers and we're bringing in Fellows and Archer who haven't been goal scorers so far. Hope it works out.

Just watched highlights of Stoke v Blackburn. As usual Baz's positioning gave the Blackburn player almost the whole goal to shoot at and he duly obliged. He did scream at one of his defenders at one point though so maybe the penny has dropped that he needs to be more vocal.

Been on a brilliant run since we switched to a back four. Anyone think formations don't matter?
-
Yeah, they'll want Tonda 🙂

This may not be an easy game. O'Neil is a very experienced manager and will set Blackburn up to nullify our attacking options and hope his side can nick a goal on the break or from a set play. Nothing we haven't faced before but he'll have them well drilled and organised. An early goal for us changes everything but they don't concede many. With our current form we should find a way to win the game. We'll need to be clinical when our chances come. Fingers crossed.

Love Azaz as a player but he must start putting his foot through the ball when shooting. At least 3 times on Saturday he had good opportunities but each time he tried to place the ball in the net almost like he was passing it. Put your laces through the ball Finn!

Birmingham Wrexham is far less entertaining than watching paint dry.

Today's win was unspectacular but very satisfying. At 1-0 down we showed a lot of grit to fight back and take the 3 points. Games like this build character. We didn't panic and maintained the belief that we could turn things around and so it proved. As the pressure of the run-in builds it's good to know the side is mentally tough under adversity.

It's on! In our first 27 games we gained 33 points - in our last 14 matches we gained 36 points. Go figure.

You are not getting the credit you deserve. All the plaudits are going to Tonda and the players.

Good set of results today. Ok Ipswich won but I think 2nd place was always going to be a stretch. Great to get a win over the kings of shithousery! Showed resilience to come back from a goal down against a physical side. 36 points out of a possible 42 in 14 games 🙂

That's when he's most dangerous 🙂

If You had to Pick player of the year right now ?

Azaz is a game-changing player. His football brain is incredible as is his eye for a defence splitting pass threaded through the eye of a needle. He drifts into dangerous areas at will. He is a chance maker and a chance taker. No other player comes close for me but accept it's all about opinions. -
Convincing 4-0 win.

I've seen one or two signs from Archer recently. For instance he made a tremendous burst at pace against Wrexham. He'll have been watching our top notch performances and hopefully thinking he wants to be a part of it. If anyone can get a tune out of him it's Tonda. -
Derby should find it hard to score against us. Defensively we are very sound at the moment. Just looking at the numbers during the 16 match unbeaten run we have let in just 11 goals and 3 of those came in the 4-3 win at Leicester. The maths is simple - we have let in a paltry 8 goals in the other 15 matches ( that should be 7 but for the incompetence of the ref on Tuesday night). That is some turnaround considering we have always consistently shipped goals for fun. It all stems from the arrivals of Peretz and Bree plus the move to a settled back four.

Back to back home games against Derby and Blackburn coming up. Win both, as we should on current form, and we will all but guarantee making the play-offs barring a monumental collapse in the final 4 matches.
