I get when people say his agent did the right thing and Tyler couldn't turn down the money. However, there is a chance that Tyler might end up earning less because of this move. Unless he manages to shake off what is holding him back he could do untold damage to his future career prospects. For me his agent would have served him better by telling him to stick at Southampton and learn his trade until he was ready to leave - he'd surely have enjoyed his football more and possibly set himself up for an even more lucrative move when he was better prepared and more confident.

Same with substitutions. The medical science guys are pouring over the stats from these vests the players wear and the data extracted is used to decide when a substitution is needed. Seems like overkill to me - unless he clearly can hardly run another step why not just let the player take a breather and keep him on the pitch especially if he's someone crucial? We have brought groups of players off too early and lost momentum and thrown away points in the process too often. Not enough old school common sense being applied in my book.

Why would you take out Bree for Jelert? Bree strikes me as the type of player who takes 3 game weeks in his stride. He needs to keep playing unless he's carrying a knock. Let's not change the back 4 which is performing very well.

We aren't winning the FA Cup. 3 more points towards the play-offs push is the priority here. Would be nice to win both though π

I can't imagine any players trying to ridicule Moyes to be honest π

Unfortunately for Tyler he arrived with a huge fee weighing him down so, like fans across the country, Everton's are looking for signs that the money wasn't wasted. You can't blame them so Tyler is going to have to start looking like he's interested in getting them off their seats.
-
Not Russell Martin that's for sure π

I would imagine Moyes is quite a tough manager to work for and has now run out of patience with the softly softly approach. This is his way of telling Tyler the honeymoon period is well and truly over and it's time for him to start performing.

Unlikely unless he is happy to earn a lot less money just to play for Mad Nate.

That's all down to Ankersen in my humble opinion.

The way I see it we need a really exceptional run from now to the end of the season - if we achieve it the likelihood of 6 teams winning as many points as us is remote. Simply put we clearly have to run the best set of results out of the teams chasing 6th spot and that would probably get us over the line. Realistically I think we'll fall short because we are still not sparkling or dominating games.

You missed out he also has 3 clean sheets in the last 4 games.

If only Baz had some of the luck Peretz gets π

Best player on the pitch. I think he gave the ball away once and was involved in most of what Watford had to offer.

Agree. Our football just isn't as fluent as it should be so we're scrambling wins rather than looking like a side good enough to make a challenge. We've improved with the back four and two decent full backs, a goalkeeper who can make saves plus options up front but there is something missing. It could be that our two wingers Scienza and Fellows are not quite on it at the moment. With them in electrifying form I think we'd be a real tough side for opponents but Scienza has dropped off and Fellows needs more assists and to start scoring.

4 points off 6th place as it stands. Big game coming up on Tuesday.
-
Good window that - sorted out the centre forward problems.
-
Wolves score and AA gets the assist.
-
Let me guess...he got there five minutes after the ball had gone.
-
Our passing today was again way below the required standard. A hard fought win but we continue to give up possession so cheaply.

Remind us. I love a bit of hindsight.

Yeah, maybe put him on corners for a bit to see how he does. That one was right on the money.
-
Nobody hates him! In fact, right now, everybody loves him π

Good 45 minutes capped by a lovely headed goal to earn the three points. Hopefully, the first of many pleasant surprises and on the way to proving me wrongπ He looked powerful and led the line well. Keep that up and he'll prove a shrewd signing.
