I wonder if Daniel Peretz has been given some kind of assurance that the bulk of last season's squad are going to remain because I'm not sure he'd contemplate signing without that. If so this is again brilliant news but let's wait and see. The club seems to be moving to re-engage the fan base after spygate which is totally the right thing. Feeling far more optimistic now.

Blackmore needs to put aside his personal views and align himself with the views of the chairman of the football club which puts food on his table. If he can't or won't do that it's time he resigned and found himself a club that does zero cheating as that would seem more to his taste. He'll be looking for a long time.

I'm getting a sense that most fans are now going ahead full throttle in developing a thick skinned, hard nosed siege mentality. Feels like we've pulled up the draw bridge having had more then enough of the holier than thou platitudes and the rank hypocracy of many pundits and journos. We accepted and paid a huge price for what, let's face it, is a small discretion in the football world which is rife with a total lack of integrity and onfield cheating of every kind. Now we seem ready to say a huge fuck you to the many detractors, mischief makers and bullshitters who have blown up this whole saga in a completely over the top onslaught. We've been a nice family club for too long and now is the time to bare our teeth and fight like hell.

The statements from Dragan and Tonda have reignited the pile on from sanctimonious journos and pundits with few exceptions. They clearly aren't satisfied with their pound of flesh from our expulsion from the Play-Off Final and don't see that as sufficient punishment for what has been built up to be the worst crime in the history of football. Their full focus has now turned to an almost universal baying for Tonda to receive a lengthy ban. I fear the continued witch hunt is likely to lead to a lengthy ban for Eckert from the FA and wouldn't be surprised to see him banned from English football. The mob have worked themselves up into another frenzy and the FA will probably be swayed by the public outcry led by Henry Winter, the BBC, Talk Sport and MSM.

Hope England players don't do any cheating on the pitch or all the Talk Sport melts and Henry Winter will be raging with utter contempt and indignation and calling for them to be expelled from the competition.

Agree. There are rules that cover diving to win free kicks/penalties. Both are blatant forms of cheating and both go on in every game. Too many pundits and journos on high horses when the most blatant forms of cheating go on right in front of their noses and they don't say a fucking word.

If you're looking for any honest people in football you haven't been following the game closely enough because there aren't any.

He appears on a fans podcast which I enjoy watching and generally I agree with a lot of what he says. In this instance he tended to join in the pile on of the club. He knows there is no integrity in football - it's a game full of cheating and cheaters so we shouldn't be encouraging this feeding frenzy that portrays us as the worst of the worst. We are not and the punishment meted out has been disproportionate so let's circle the wagons and stand up for the football club rather than joining those throwing the rocks at us.

Henry Winter is hard to ignore but it's well worth making the effort.

Steve Grant was the only one who showed any sort of loyalty to the club on TSP. The rest just joined in the pile on and maybe should have waited until they'd heard more from the club. They now look rather foolish.

Yet they set the rule for observing training. If you are correct it seems a bit of a contradiction.
