We need an assist machine who scores some goals to replace armstrong/moi/redmond/djnepo/tella etc etc

We could have benezma, mbappe or haaland up top but they would all struggle to get 10-15 goals a season with the chances our team provides.

Checked Ralphs last season at RB Leipzig. Top scorer was Werner with 13, with the rest of the goals spread around, maybe Ralphs system is the problem along with our quality.

Mate it's default by now but MLG is like a fact checker, he gets it right 90% of the time and has his fingers in lots of pies.

I'd watched the mane hatrick game before I wrote this and saw the forwards passing quickly and effectively together to give each other chances.

While we have Redmond/Moi/S Armstrong/Djnepo etc etc etc as our pool to choose from as our 10's and our CBs make a mistake pretty much every game it doesnt matter what happens. We will still rely on individual acts of brilliance or opposition mistakes as unfortunately our pattern of play isnt working.

Give Roger Schmidt currently at PSV a go - leaving PSV on a free at the end of this season as they couldnt agree a contract extension, currently has them 2nd just behind Ajax and we can steal a few of their players as well. Managed at RB Salzburg, Leverkesun etc so knows our style and we've talked about him before on here.

Tadic the assist machine could get the Ralph team about 5 places higher himself. Our no.10s are a problem. Also why leave out van dijk, Fonte and Jay rod.

I give Ralph the first 10 games of the new season assuming this is his first summer where we actually have money to spend and we get some no.10s and someone to replace simple jack

Think we can skip Caleta-Carr rumours, am watching Feyenoord v Marseille and he sold the goalkeeper short with his back pass, goal feyenoord. Both sides have done some terrible defending.

This. There is no way we can be happy with our goalkeepers performance over the last 4 yrs. The no.2 is just a nice way to phrase it but whoever we buy better be between the sticks on day 1.

Its annoying but we know as a team we have struggled with creating good chances for strikers for probably since Koeman. An old friend mentioned from last year Joey Veerman - went to PSV in Jan and has already had 4 goals and 4 assists in 9 games or maybe someone like Noni Madueke from PSV as well, done well the last few years and only 20 and english. Given I watch a fair bit of eredevisie I'd also shout out Luis Sinisterra from Feyenoord, 15 goals and 5 assists this season - watch the game v Marseille on Thurs for a look.

Is our striker problem driven by the ability of our other players to give them decent chances. We could have Mpabbe in this team and I bet he would struggle to get over 10 goals. I havent watched enough Red Bull team games but how do they create chances for their strikers, I think the lack of chances from our CMs or Moi/Armstrong player roles as the weakness, not really the strikers as they are constantly feeding on scraps.

These last few games have been as enjoyable as wanking with a pin cushion glove on. I dont know who to blame so everyone is utter shit.

Maybe romeu can get some heading tips from burnely, he should of scored at least one of his free headers, its inexcusable, we might not be playing better but still 1 goal might of given the team confidence. Not sure who to bring on but I there is plenty of choice who to take off.

Shane long makes running in front of his man and making contact into an art form. Seriously having that skill alone helps our game management, he is by far the slyest player in our camp for winning free kicks easily. I love it.

I concur we havent had a realiable goalkeeper since niemi, artur was quality but it must be the polish gene that has monumental fuck ups in them like bednerak. I dont know anything about goalkeeping but are there any goalkeepers who can: A) communicate with players B) can kick a football in the direction that they choose, short or long. C) Doesnt own chocolate wrists
