Its annoying but we know as a team we have struggled with creating good chances for strikers for probably since Koeman. An old friend mentioned from last year Joey Veerman - went to PSV in Jan and has already had 4 goals and 4 assists in 9 games or maybe someone like Noni Madueke from PSV as well, done well the last few years and only 20 and english. Given I watch a fair bit of eredevisie I'd also shout out Luis Sinisterra from Feyenoord, 15 goals and 5 assists this season - watch the game v Marseille on Thurs for a look.

Is our striker problem driven by the ability of our other players to give them decent chances. We could have Mpabbe in this team and I bet he would struggle to get over 10 goals. I havent watched enough Red Bull team games but how do they create chances for their strikers, I think the lack of chances from our CMs or Moi/Armstrong player roles as the weakness, not really the strikers as they are constantly feeding on scraps.

These last few games have been as enjoyable as wanking with a pin cushion glove on. I dont know who to blame so everyone is utter shit.

Shane long makes running in front of his man and making contact into an art form. Seriously having that skill alone helps our game management, he is by far the slyest player in our camp for winning free kicks easily. I love it.

I concur we havent had a realiable goalkeeper since niemi, artur was quality but it must be the polish gene that has monumental fuck ups in them like bednerak. I dont know anything about goalkeeping but are there any goalkeepers who can: A) communicate with players B) can kick a football in the direction that they choose, short or long. C) Doesnt own chocolate wrists

Young players by their nature are inconsistent but the ceiling to improve is significant. A consistent Broja in 3yrs time could be starting for a champs league team no doubt, he has the skill, pace, talent and seems to scare CBs. What he doesn't have is the experience of being a top flight professional and what that means. I think also our system suits how he plays but I don't know enough about how he played at vitesse to see how he is in another system. Of course try and buy but a 2nd season loan might be the best we can do before he moves on. Also regarding Armstrong, defo a player in there, it just seems to take time with the championship strikers to play and be effective in our system.

This argument still going then. Horses for courses, Broja came in and made the place his. He will fall out of form and Armstrong will come back in, whose to say he doesn't score a few goals more himself as well. There doesn't always have to be a winner and a loser in discussions even on here. Both are better players than everyone on this forum and have forgotten more about playing In a premier league than we will ever learn. First season in epl requires some adjustments for both in different ways, expect some improvements this 2nd half of the season now.

To be fair I feel like we already had the best transfer we could by having new owners in place, I'll take that and 0 in comings today.
