Decent english born players are a premium for big clubs who don't have any path ways for their youth teams into the first teams but still need to meet the criteria for home grown players, I'd expect a lot more good english players to join big cubs and be squad players. Think Chelsea and City must be struggling for home grown players.

Just to qualify my earlier statement I've always defined a key player as someone who would immediately impact our short term ability to perform, there is not 1 player who I would class as key, currently I would class Ronald and Les Reed the singular most important team influencing people in our club.

Clyne has scored 2 goals and 0 assists, he's a good player and all but not a key player, although the greatest compliment I can give this team that i don't think anyone is. I'd take 15 mil and see if we can afford micah richards

I'd take ospina or vorm at this stage, Fraser stats are built on the defence rather than him being a wall. If they get it on target they've got a good chance of a goal

Disagree with you our team is built on discipline, be it going forward and defending, things that require attention to detail and commitment, if the fool can't meet a defined time to get to the stadium the same time every week I might add then he deserves to be dropped to send a message to the wider team. Discipline for the season is more important than the team

I was thinking Djuricic would be playing closer to Pelle to feed off his knock downs and be like Ziadane (optimist alert) as we have all been lamenting the fact that Pelle has been unsupported over the last few games. I see DJ (gonna shorten it for typing purposes) playing closer to Pelle and spreading the play out wide before bombing on into the area.

I think we did have to freshen up the no.10 role behind pelle as we are just not getting goals from from Davis or JWP when they tag team in that position. Not seen enough of Djuricic to formulate an opinion but based on the feedback in the u21 game he scored and assisted so that is a plus. I see Tadic and Mane coming on for Elia and JWP if needed or swapping mane or tadic (Mane the first option for pace alone) for Djuricic if he is being bullied out of the game. Morgan will get dropped in for Davis if we are getting overrun in midfield.

Liverpool fans would be unhappy if they won the lottery, its their default setting to find misery in everything.
