  1. Fonte has had a haircut, maybe Nigel thinks he's gone missing.
  2. I don't know about it being too in depth but when it takes me half a day to play a few games, that's a bit annoying. There have been too many bugs and errors for me this year and Steam is an absolute nightmare when it goes wrong, and I'm afraid there's no getting away from it, it often does. If I had a problem with how in-depth it is, I would agree with maddog, it would be the fact that yes, I could ask my assistant manager to do it all for me, but they cannot always be trusted and if you are managing a team lower down the tiers, you can never get a decent one. In the Allsvenskan I can only offer an assistant manager £275 a week which is absolute peanuts - this is managing a team that has twice won the UEFA Cup. I'm not going to get a decent assistant manager for that kind of money and definitely not one that I can ask to handle things for me.
  3. Red Rain by Peter Gabriel. Not some ****ty orchestral version as he's currently doing, the original - the best.
  4. Yeah I have to say I'm starting to get to the point where it's not fun and becomes more like a chore. Immediately after winning the title with the crappest team I could find, I just left it. Can understand where you're coming from adriansfc, definitely.
  5. Injury proneness of seven. Not too bad, so I wouldn't write him off just yet.
  6. Okay, I've criticised some of the game's decisions so far (Adkins out by October, injuries, etc, etc) but this time, I love it. I've got a striker who I don't want, he's worthless. Who wants him? The Skates. Who will offer £625k up front. Haaa
  7. From his Twitter: grantmccann11 grant mccann Don't know where the Sun has got that rumour but I'm not leaving and I am more than happy at Pboro!! Will he add anything to what we've got? Is he better than what we've got? I'm thinking no to both questions.
  8. Yep, exactly the same here. Adkins out by about October, AVB ends up at Wolves. Pretty poor if you ask me. Meanwhile I'm taking over at IFK Goteborg, want to win a record amount of titles and be top dog in Sweden. I love the Allsvenskan, it's so competitive.
  9. To be fair, I will be investing in Quadrophenia: The Director's Cut.
  10. Fairly sure BarkBark Growl-Moo plays for VVV Venlo.
  11. Rumours hotting up that Redknapp will leave Spuds. Apparently we can expect to see the odds on it slashed by the end of today. I've just spoken to a former Spurs press officer who I know very well. He says that it's highly likely. The court date will be frowned upon by the club's commercial sponsors and it'll lead to a guilty by association kind of thing. He could go down for it and therefore be advised to resign on health grounds which could lessen the sentence...
  12. Won the title with Trelleborgs FF, woop! Gothenburg messed up royally and we eventually finished three points clear. I've had enough of the 30% transfer revenue rubbish they keep lumbering me with and the three quarter empty stadium, so unless things improve I'm off to Norway. Only took me three years to take a relegation side to the top in Sweden thanks to the tactics I posted earlier, though I've been tinkering and I alternate during matches between a 4-5-1 and that 4-3-3. Works a treat, and I dare say had I been given the opportunity to sign better strikers, we would have ran away with the division some time ago.
  13. Yawn. That is all.
  14. 100%? That's incredible. I've always been a Nintendo kid but because I didn't get a SNES until late in its life and N64 games were so expensive (£50 odd and I wasn't even ten when the console came out) I never played Zelda to begin with. I got The Wind Waker and Twilight Princess though and they interested me but not massively. Took me ages to complete both as well. 100% though? I may have to investigate.
  15. Don't get Bond wrong!
  16. Fair play to you though. Do what you have to do to win. Oh and this just came up. This after Adkins was sacked in about October 2011 and Strachan was brought in. Cock up.
  17. This has been done to death so many times.
  18. Well I just finished my second season with Trelleborgs FF in second place, we could have won it but we drew two of our last three, having beaten the team at the top before that. Disappointing but I've got my team talks down to a tee now, time to strengthen the remaining positions in my team that need it and go for the title. We got knocked out of the Europa League in the fourth qualifying round by Spartak Moscow, no shame in that if you ask me.
  19. Quinton Fortune, Lee Barnard and Pablo Counago at Eastleigh, are you still in the Blue Square South? There are some odd reputation problems in this game it has to be said.
  20. You have better control of which players to play, and that'll help you get fitness levels up to the right standard for competitive games. My tactic isn't a plug and play, its dynamic, and my assistant manager obviously won't do as I would, if you get a loss or your assistant says the wrong thing at the wrong time you have the possibility of a morale problem. In my test, I did six games and he did six games in two separate starts to a season with the same players. I may only have won one out of six, but I went nine games unbeaten. Where my assistant manager did pre-season, those six losses resulted in me being on the verge of the sack after six games because we were so bad. Definitely a case for doing it yourself I'd say. Also, I ALWAYS take a player off if he has a 'slight' injury, or else you risk turning it into a long term injury. Your assistant manager might not, and you'll have a big injury on your hands before the season even starts.
  21. An observation. NEVER let your assistant manager handle pre-season friendlies. You will not reap the benefits of handling the games yourself, which can be vital at the start of a league campaign. I decided to experiment and let my assistant handle six games away from home against bigger teams. Trust!
  22. A rumour that undoubtedly only came about after he got the job at Fratton and one that doesn't wash really - you cannot compare the blue few to that West Brom team, they were much, much better than what you have now. It's incredible really, some of the stuff people will say to try and make an appointment look good. Its like when we signed Olivier Bernard and people (I confess, I was one) said he was great to try and convince themselves!
  23. Sadly it's not going well for our Claus, he has the bailiffs chasing him. I hope it all works out for the guy.
  24. Nice. Armann Smari Bjornsson, once of Hartlepool, is very good to play alongside him too. Jamil Adam is a sensation in the lower leagues. I finished the season third, eight points adrift of the title winners IFK Goteborg. UEFA Cup next season though and I've been given some cash to complete the overhaul of my very mixed squad. Nigel Adkins was sacked in October, Strachan replaced him, which is absurd. I played against Michael Svensson last season to complete the blast from the past, unmissable due to his orange hair!
