I'm a monkey am I? Then allow me to retort, knuckle dragger. I agree with the way the Club is being run. This is not to say that I am ignorant and will not speak up when I decide I don't like something. People like Illingsworth always want to be more than a supporter and think they need to be ranked. All supporters are equal in my eyes - and as such they shouldn't try and interfere and try to have a say in how a Club is run. Let's not forget where we were when certain fans wanted a piece of the action, going on pre-season tours at the expense of the Club etc. We were a team with no future, were those two things coincidental? I don't think they were. Why didn't I go on Saturday? I did not have the time nor the funds to spare. Was I being disrespectful to Markus? No, and I resent any accusation that I 'let him down' as the OP suggested. There is nothing wrong with the way the Club is being run. We're not exactly QPR, charging away fans as much as £57, threatening to kick out their manager who just won them promotion to the Premier League etc. Mr. Cortese might not be perfect but I'd have him in charge over any current Championship club Chairman. I think people ought to be a bit more grateful and remember who they are, and remember that there is no hierarchy when it comes to supporters.

Terrible isn't it. Forget we've won a trophy. Forget we've won promotion. Forget we've a good team and a good manager. Forget even that we have a football club to support still after years of mismanagement, administration and a ten point deduction. Sunderland have spent big this season with the Man United reserve team joining them, so they probably want to reduce their deficit whilst moving out players from positions they've already strengthened. £2 million for a defender with a good record at this level is nothing if Leicester are going to spend £5 million on Mills and we're being quoted up to that on Maynard...!

There is a MASSIVE difference, as Nigel Adkins has said himself. Teams like Leicester are building a team from scratch. We are not.

So anyway. It's not a great sign if you have to ask your own supporters to get behind him, is it? If he wants to go it'll be on our terms, not his, so he can talk to the press all he likes - and get fined for doing it. If we're honest, he won't stay with us forever as players just don't do that anymore. Personally I'll back him all the way until he leaves, be it sooner or later. If others want to think and do differently it's entirely up to them.
