Bit unnecessary this. The fact is, we had no option but to sell Bale, Walcott, Mills etc. Perhaps the sell on clauses could have been done a bit better (i.e stopping them and getting Tommy Fourpast) but that was then, this is now.

Without wishing to sound bitter, yes, Mark Chamberlain seems to have got what HE wanted. Took him out of Portsmouth, brought him to us. Gets him taught by great coaches at one of the best academies in the UK. Having seen him show some promise, gets him a transfer to Arsenal. If you look at it like that, we've been used. Sounds more like an agent than a father.

Hence why I said good. If we're to believe that we didn't need to sell, then our position grows stronger. We'll probably never know exactly where the money goes unfortunately.

Arsenal's Playground XI for the Carling Cup grows stronger. We've got a good deal for the Club, we don't *need* him if the Leeds performance and result is anything to go by and there's no more silly speculation. All in all a good day if you ask me. Max Gradel is a cheating little ****. The way he thumped the floor with his hands after not getting a penalty was disgusting, it was never a penalty in a million years. In a situation like that, look where the player's arms are. His were outstretched as if he was throwing himself to the floor. As for the second one, from where I was sitting it did look like handball and I've only seen the replay once, I have to say I'm not 100% certain.

Very, very pleased. I don't know what else to say. Was it a 'complete' performance? Perhaps if we had the clean sheet it would have been, but you can't really complain about a 3 - 1 win over a potential rival for the play-offs - which is exactly where we will be heading if we repeat performances and results like that. Not going to get ahead of myself though, it's a long old season.

The guy was only playing non-league football a couple of years ago. To make that leap in quality is incredible, so well done to him already. Definitely needs games to mature and I trust the right decision will be made as to where he gets those games.
