Reaction to QPR and Reading's relegation just in:
-
*Premier League
-
Happens though doesn't it. Sheffield United were ten points clear of the Premier League relegation zone, went down, and look where they are now.
-
Part of their strategy is to attract millionaires to invest in return for certain privileges. The reason they've got this far is because some people have dug deep and paid for a loan signing every now and then, or raised money for a signing.
-
Dig out the 'top ten finish?' thread. A lot of what was perceived to be negative comments to the contrary of the thread's idea were entirely justified.
-
I'm amazed people needed to see it twice - he wasn't going to get the ball, he was late, he had both feet off the ground. An exceptionally sh*te referee would have still given a red for it. Hooiveld is unbelievably slow, there can be no doubt about it.
-
A lot of praise for him tonight - suppose it's easy to judge when you're looking at edited highlights and not the full 90 minutes...
-
The contents of this thread should be used to form a hardback book that should be sent to them.
-
To be honest, I think Mr. Madley will have to get used to that treatment at our place - can't remember too many games this season where the chant 'we always get sh*t refs' doesn't get sung.
-
Definitely an element of that, however I think some players' shortcomings have been highlighted across the campaign, and to avoid another relegation battle some serious investment needs to be made. Its well documented that our style of play demands more of each member of our squad too.

His first Premier League game today and he got horrendous abuse in the first half. To be honest, I was in a world of my own today, and didn't really understand why he got so much stick. Was he really that bad? Apparently all three sendings off were justified - I saw from the other end of the pitch that Fox was going to walk but can't comment about the other two.
-
At one point Fox made a pass that, judging by the way his body was moving and the speed he was going at, he was never going to complete. Sure enough, he made a total f*cking meal of it. What's that about?

SAINTS 0-3 West Bromwich Albion // Post-Match Reaction
Crazy Diamond replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Their back four were very organised and it was quite obvious what they were doing. I can't believe a manager who, according to some, is a 'tactical genius' didn't see what was happening and make adjustments. We played into their hands. -
I was at the opposite end of the pitch and it looked like Fox might get sent off. Wasn't surprised to see him go.

Didn't get a sniff all game. I think I noticed Rodriguez all of twice too. -

Possibly the worst I have ever seen. Start to finish we were abysmal. What concerns me most is that when we were really struggling, we didn't change anything. Ramirez came on but nothing changed. It was so easy for West Brom, just as it was for QPR when they came to our place. They waited and waited and just played long balls over the top. Next season, if we're still in this division, and until Spurs equalised at Wigan it looked doubtful again, we need to invest heavily. I don't think we have the quality to play as we do and get results week in and week out. We could quite easily fall victim to second season syndrome. So, so poor today. Unbelievably so. -
Business end of the season now. AFC Wimbledon is a team I have a soft spot for as I'm from the area, and they need a win to stay up. Really, they're lucky to be in this position, as they were two goals down at Gillingham last week and scraped a 2 - 2 draw. Would be good to see Brentford in the Championship next season, our very own Uwe Rosler vs Redknapp in a tasty derby.

Oh no he di'unt!

Show me a commentator or co-commentator that is free of cliché and I'd be amazed. I think he's actually quite insightful. Every now and then he says something that makes you think 'ah okay, that's what they're doing' and that's a good thing.

He's a great bloke, has time for everyone. He's regarded very highly by the Solent team.
-
Racism and biting combined, the guy misses half a season. He's a nasty individual, and I wouldn't like him to play for us - just as I didn't like BWP and Dyer playing for us after they had stolen from some poor woman.

Pochettino targets Champions League spot next season

As far as I'm concerned, the goal each year for a club of our size and stature is survival and then we push on. -
Liverpool fans at their classiest tonight. Calling on their players to retire from or boycott England internationals, as the punishment by the FA is so harsh... You can be the absolute scum of the earth but put on a Liverpool shirt and they'll love you.

Just remember, they got the nickname 'Bompey' for a reason.
