  1. You don't need to say 'current.' He is the manager.
  2. And that's a stone off, waheyyy. Now to have steak and vegetables
  3. And so the pointless lives of others continues.
  4. Martin Lipton on Sunday Supplement is right now saying exactly what I'm thinking.
  5. It's being discussed on Sunday Supplement right now.
  6. I'll be honest, this is a very challenging time for me as a supporter of this Club. It's hard to get behind something you disagree so badly with. I don't wish to be melodramatic, I am genuinely unsure what to do. I'll always back the team but ultimately, as we are discussing, this team is the product of something quite rotten. On Thursday night I thought to myself that I was a lucky guy because of this Club. Amazing how things change.
  7. Should they? John Cross was the one that first said Pochettino was taking over and is very, very good. His record this season with exclusives has been amazing, as his peers are quick to point out.
  8. I think if this week has taught us anything, it is that what the fans want means absolutely f*ck all.
  9. On Monday I'm meeting a man who has worked nearly all his working life with the FA and was at one time Sir Bobby Robson's right hand man - he knows Reed very well. I'll see what he thinks of him.
  10. I'm guessing this transfer committee is a new thing, started in the summer? We made a big bid for Gary Hooper in the Championship, and that had to be a player identified by Adkins, for obvious reasons. Same with Sharp. Pardew bought names that you or I would pick if we were playing Football Manager. We need goals in League One, it's 2009. No brainer. You have the funds so you buy the division's standout goalscorers, Lambert and Barnard. Unfortunately, the Premier League may well have got to a few heads, which makes me think what's wrong with trusting scouts? Newcastle did okay out of trusting their scouting department last season.
  11. From what I've seen of him, I'm glad too. Error prone clouds his potential at the moment for me.
  12. Yet equally, John Cross who has got it right with us all along, says he will sign as expected. "Cagliari’s Italy international defender Davide Astori, 26, has been their main target , the deal is still on and is likely to go through before the winter window closes." http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footba...riting-1544510
  13. If you're to believe one of the articles in the tabloids which said that Cortese told the squad they weren't good enough, what's to stop someone like Lambert leaving? He wasn't good enough for lower league clubs once, and had to fight tooth and nail for a contract with the likes of Macclesfield. This could well be the start of some massive changes in our team.
  14. Except in this case, he died when their performances were good enough to come from two down at the home of the European champions, with two defeats in 12.
  15. West Brom are the role model club in this country. Their technical director structure has done them wonders when you think back to when they were yo-yo-ing between the divisions, so there's definite proof such a system can work in this country. Perhaps Nigel didn't fit into that, but I'd still have him in charge. For someone at odds with his Chairman and having little say in the players bought, he wasn't doing too bad a job with them, even if there was a period of adaptation.
  16. He's a potato in a pair of glasses.
  17. Mmm yes, it's not as if he's up there with the best. He has fantastic potential and another Club will benefit from it. I hate that.
  18. "Cagliari’s Italy international defender Davide Astori, 26, has been their main target , the deal is still on and is likely to go through before the winter window closes." http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/southampton-sack-nigel-adkins-the-writing-1544510
  19. I wouldn't be surprised if his middle name was 'ARSENAL, ARSENAL, ARSENAL.'
  20. Harsh on Warnock given he's only just been given a decent amount of funds, but he would do wonders there, I am fairly certain.
  21. By the way, it was John Cross who said Adkins was going to go and Pochettino would be his successor. He very rarely gets these things wrong, and he thinks Astori will sign.
  22. It's likely to be one of the coaching staff that was laid off, if he was found out he'd be breaching his confidentiality agreement, so he's keeping himself anonymous.
  23. So basically, we've got rid of a fantastic manager and hired a yes man - and I'm not talking about Rick Wakeman. Remember when we last did that?
  24. Well the first phase, which can last up to ten days, is strictly protein with 20 minutes exercise and 1.5l of water at least a day. The second phase is alternating a day of the above plus vegetables plus 30 mins of exercise, then just the protein again. Third phase reintroduces carbs including fruit, fourth you do what you want but one protein only day a week. I agree, anyone on it for a long time could open themselves up to trouble. I think you just need to be sensible. The tiredness thing is if you have a lot of sugar in your diet - i.e. drinking coffee every day. That's not been a problem for me at all.
  25. I'm plain unhappy about it, and I think given how well Adkins did, added to that the success of recent weeks, I have every right to be. I think it's a step backwards when we've got a guy who doesn't know our players and has no time to adapt. It has the potential to be a disaster. I also object to the manner in which the Club has treated Adkins. There's plenty of reason to be unhappy, and as with anything, it'll take time to get over. I don't especially want to get over it ASAP. It'll take as long as it takes.
