  1. I'm fairly certain it's centred around the training ground work, though of course it's an in which will allow other questions to be asked.
  2. This entire thread is speculation, basically. What did turkish say in the second post?
  3. It won't be on Saints Player. Or at least, I really, really doubt it.
  4. Crouch once carved up my friend on the road heading into Southampton from Marchwood, caused a serious accident. Turned round to my friend and said don't worry, find a nice car and I'll pay for it. Can't tell if that's nice of him or a bit underhand...
  5. It's a total mess down there. But, putting Mitchell to one side, Bradbury had spent a lot of money and delivered very little. Very average squad, £800k on Matt Tubbs, plus the fans were beginning to turn on him because of his poor results and style of play. It's a very good job for someone if they can handle working under Mitchell. Money to spend, time to build a squad if appointed soon after the end of the season as they're planning, three of the big guns (Sheffield Wednesday and United, Charlton, Huddersfield) are all likely to be out of the division, there's poor teams coming down from the Championship... Play-offs and perhaps even automatic promotion is more than possible. The relationship with the Echo is nothing to worry about really, that'll all be settled soon as AFCB can't afford to miss out on coverage by the Echo, the Echo similarly will lose circulation quickly if they don't do match reports etc.
  6. Yep. Made me ****ing puke. Especially when not all the media team at that time could go but he could. Just so, so wrong.
  7. I think that's the plan, yes.
  8. Yep, as S-Clarke said, Bradbury was given a lot of money and he's spent it badly. Fans didn't like his style of football and the results weren't very good. As for the new man, it's a great job even if you've got to put up with Eddie Mitchell. Lots of money to spend, the big guns in the division will be leaving with poor teams coming down to replace them... It's set up for a play-off push or even automatic places. They'll need someone good though. There's a few naff players in there, but given enough time the new man can build his own squad.
  9. Tony Husband will be interviewing Nicola Cortese tomorrow at Staplewood. There's going to be a feature on the new training ground construction too.
  10. To be honest, Turkish is very much on the money here, if you'll excuse the pun.
  11. Next week? Awesome. Will have to try and find a live feed - is it Oakland over in Japan?
  12. Edit.
  13. Have you ever lived in halls of residence?
  14. Spoke to a Solent commentator the other day, asked why Portsmouth didn't play their youngsters and reserves. There's nothing to stop them, it's just that they're rubbish, was the basic answer. **** poor excuse when they've made a load of people redundant who were on something like £15k a year. How does Ben Haim sleep at night? One would assume in a very nice bed, in a very nice house, but you get what I'm saying.
  15. No Mr. Hamster, there was not. There were bells though. Sorry, bell ENDS. They were chanting something about fire drills.
  16. This.
  17. South Today next week. Keep your eyes peeled.
  18. I know there's a fair few Weller fans on here. Just wondered what the consensus is on his latest 'effort' entitled 'Sonik Kicks'. I have to say, I saw him live in Brighton in about 2006 or 2007 after 'As Is Now' was released and it was a pretty good performance, but after then my love for him tailed off. I've even fallen out of love with The Jam a bit since I first started listening to them in 2005 and believe me, I was mad about them. '22 Dreams' was alright, good few tracks on it but then 'Wake Up the Nation' killed any lingering affection for Weller and his music stone dead. So, 'Sonik Kicks'. I was reluctant to give him another chance after the last album, but with nothing to do tonight, checked it out on Spotify. Thank the Lord for streaming music you don't have to pay for, as I would have felt ripped off (again) had I bought this and given it a chance (like I did with 'The Sound of the Jam' as a 16 year old). The opening 30 seconds to a minute of the opening track sounds fantastic and made me wonder if he'd got it right. Then he opens his mouth and it just turns to ****. Personally, I think it's crap. More crap from someone who was at one time, incredibly gifted. As I say, I'm just thankful I didn't pay to listen. So what does everyone else think?
  19. Not worth watching mate. It's like when she does gigs, no one comes. And to be honest, I question who/what is the bigger **** out of the two in the video.
  20. I cracked my 3GS within weeks of buying it, back in 2009. Been cracked ever since, never caused a problem though I hear the life span of the phone diminishes once it's damaged. My friend who worked at iSolutions and did repairs all the time told me not to go through official channels to get it fixed as they almost deliberately waste time and overcharge. As it happens, I'm seeing him next week. He told me to buy the parts off of eBay (£12) and he'll fix it himself. Easy.
  21. Which reminds me. As far as I recall, they don't have their own training ground. Oops.
  22. I know the media team are drafting plans for better coverage and operations next season. It's all go.
  23. http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20120322&content_id=27529060&vkey=news_bos&c_id=bos Interesting interview with Francona regarding his departure, Henry not returning his calls for a long time.
  24. What a ****ing retard.
