  1. Someone has just said they understand he started breathing again. Really hope that's true.
  2. Wright didn't even have to be playing to get grief. It was on a big level. As for leaving him out, I think Appleton has bottled it. Ferguson did it once with Rooney and it was the wrong decision then too.
  3. This has happened before, Clarke for Leicester at Nottingham Forest a few years ago. But possible ten minutes no breathing? As I say, I'm fearing the worst.
  4. I'm fearing the worst to be honest, ten minutes of CPR, defrib, not breathing after all that...
  5. The Sun are reporting that he was not breathing when he was taken off by the paramedics.
  6. He's had CPR. This isn't good.
  7. Suspect this and West Ham v Leeds will be featured matches on The Football League Show.
  8. This occurred to me as well - but we're hardly in a position to laugh, the grief Jermaine Wright used to get (some deserved) was incredible.
  9. Let's be fair to Dalek, if we made a thread each time a SaintsWeb poster was wrong, the Pompey Takeover Thread would pale in comparison.
  10. What a disgusting slight on one of the greatest films ever made. Dreadful. As for the 12th man bit, are they STILL going with that?
  11. Whatever happened to that Dutch goalkeeper we were linked with, the one that Nigel personally watched?
  12. In bus driver uniforms
  13. Bobby Valentine more charismatic than Francona? Never...! http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=8852885&c_id=mlb
  14. Third time I'll say this, Jason Pearce is not a Portsmouth fan. He is a Chelsea fan. How do I know? I interviewed him for Cherries Player in 2009 when he played for AFC Bournemouth and he said so.
  15. I think you're unfairly giving them credit to be honest, but each to their own...
  16. Took AFC Wimbledon into administration by signing 23 players in one season, getting rid of all but one of the original squad. Ten points deducted, still won the league comfortably. It was a bit of a shock and I knew it was all my fault!
  17. Exactly. Why do people think Torres isn't scoring at Chelsea and Carroll not scoring at Liverpool? Lazy bastards the both of them and not fans of their clubs. If you review the thread and my comments on Pearce across the board it's not about that one single incident. Oh wait, it happened twice. It's not about those two incidents.
  18. I cannot understand how you can get so excited about Jason Pearce to the extent where you type in capitals and use the word 'brilliant'. The fact that he's aggressive and gets stuck in' is no reason to sign a player either, I might add. I watched Dorchester Town a few years ago, one of their players tackled anything that had a shadow and basically committed GBH all evening. Should we sign him? 34 now and knees gone, but still, he's aggressive and gets stuck in.
  19. Good luck to you in proving that. Whilst a lot of people were very disappointed, I had a completely open mind. I couldn't believe people were writing him off because one or two of his headers against Forest at home looped into the air. Tadanari Lee? I was very excited and that excitement has been well founded. He has been brilliant for us, in my opinion. I have seen Jason Pearce for an entire season and I know what I'm talking about. Signing him would be a mistake in my view.
  20. So we're saying then if we sign him, we're signing a defender that gets done easily by the best striker outside the Premier League. So what if we do go up and we have to use him. He'll get mugged by every striker up there, on the basis that the best one outside the top flight mugs him. Jason Pearce is not a signing we should be making, nor a potential signing to get excited about. At League Two level he was very good. At League One he was good. At Championship level he is adequate. I don't think these rumours are true. I sincerely hope they aren't either.
  21. As I said way back. PR stunt to get people to part with their cash, the Football League or FA, whoever, fell for it and handed it out. Who knows what really is going on.
  22. Not apparently. He does. Straight from the horse's mouth.
  23. Couldn't even play the game despite all SI's suggestions so I've removed the game and all its traces from my system, won't be buying FM13 as it's a massive waste of money. If I buy a game I expect to be able to play it when I want, not when some pile of **** third party software tells me.
  24. Wouldn't want him having had the benefit of seeing him play for an entire season, hope it's not true. And Fratton Park?
  25. Yeah I checked, made sure it wasn't a Fenway anniversary special, but I take your point about the years you get out of it, didn't think of it like that! I was disappointed to hear Papelbon had gone, as for Varitek and Wakefield it sounded to me (with very little baseball knowledge, I must stress) that their peaks had come and gone a while back. I've heard nothing but good about Cherrington and I don't know why but Bobby Valentine excites me. Question: I remember the fuss surrounding Jason Bay as he was a great hitter, how come Boston let him go after such a little amount of time? Seems very little in baseball is long term.
