  1. Never let the facts get in the way of being 'passionate' eh.
  2. I love how daring to be FAIR and criticise someone when they deserve it is being a bad fan. Where's the ****ing rule book on good fan conduct? Does it have a rule that says you have to be a blind moron and lose all common sense?
  3. We certainly did, but we looked even better with Lee, in my opinion.
  4. Nope, didn't get a great view of that, too many people in the way. Did see the flag go up just as I got to my feet to celebrate, was reminded of Taylor's handball in 2005. Didn't think the Swarbrick would give it, but it looked as if he just went 'nah I'm giving it' and totally overruled him. I also didn't see Rocha slap Lallana or kick the ball into the crowd, it was only until full time when my friend texted me to tell me that I found out, so hey ho!
  5. Or Josh as Nigel calls him! I said on another thread we miss Lee, don't think anyone can deny it.
  6. I'm afraid I don't know. Is that a loaded question? I still expect more from him when he does make appearances, that's my point. Nothing more, nothing less.
  7. It did not (respectfully). The few decisions that were not given that I witnessed, occurred in the first half just in front of the Kingsland, to the right of the halfway line. I can only go on what I saw. Again, respectfully, I know what I saw and it was genuinely a poor performance. Point still stands, a foul is a foul, and giving a yellow card so early on was a good idea were it to be followed up with consistent refereeing decisions. Sadly that was not the case.
  8. It had occurred to me, but you would have thought we'd see more than we have.
  9. I had a perfect view from my seat of the ball bouncing off Portsmouth players and them getting the throw-ins. Explain how that's fair, or should I get a grip? I saw with my own eyes, a few feet from the players, shirts being pulled, nudges, elbows, the bloody lot. They are fouls, whether or not it's us vs 'them' or anyone else, they should be penalised, free kicks should be given. I respectfully disagree with your opinion - though I wasn't blaming the result on them, they were absolute crap and did the game little favours.
  10. How much of this have we seen this season? Precious little. Disappointing.
  11. Can't really disagree, though the highlights on the Football League Show made him look pretty good. I do think we cut him more slack than others when he can be equally if not more frustrating than others. Takes too many touches at times and blows good opportunities as he tries to be clever.
  12. And Rocha. The rest of the world has seen it now, they can judge like we have. Terrible officials.
  13. Would be a bit surprised if we saw Falque between now and the end of the season.
  14. Right. MOTD, Sunderland v Tottenham. Tottenham player nudged in the back whilst running down the flank. Goes down. Free kick. Some might say it was a slight nudge at best. Now why didn't the linesman give our team free kicks for offences that were worse? Because they were crap.
  15. After seven innings, Detroit 10 Red Sox 0. Bah.
  16. Simple question, requiring a one word answer. The answer is either 'yes' or 'no'. Never mind 'give him a chance' or 'its hypothetical', any of that. Just 'yes' or 'no' - your opinion, based on what you've seen. In your opinion, is Guly good enough for the Premier League? No.
  17. Not as mad as it seems, but you do have to go back a bit - 1995-96, Brighton. "A pitch invasion late in the 1995-96 season, when the Seagulls were relegated to Division Three, resulted in a suspended sentence of three points deducted and a game played behind closed doors for the club. A similar protest on 1 October 1996 in a league game against Lincoln City meant that a Football League hearing on 9 December that year saw them deducted two league points. The club later appealed against the points deduction but their appeal was rejected"
  18. Guly Defence League. The rest weren't much cop, I've already said that, but Guly wasn't just average, he was below average. Not only that but he's been under-performing for a long time now. To do it in the biggest game of the season with so many different things at stake, that was extremely disappointing. I hate the whole 'he looks lazy' argument. I've never bought into that, I find it hard to imagine a professional footballer that is just plain lazy and that is all there is to it. Today, he barely broke into a sweat. He was a passenger.
  19. Another one from the GDL camp then... All those years at finishing school and that stint in the mooting and debating society really worked out well, didn't they? I might agree with the balanced team bit. We're really good, he plays and we're levelled out to being pretty average or borderline ****e most of the time.
  20. I think that's a very good point. More than anything I was bloody tense. Definitely one that had my pulse racing for most of, if not the whole, 90 minutes.
  21. Truly a quite stupid act and at a young age he's got to carry around a criminal record with him for a long time to come. Don't think it'll ever get through 100% to the next generation of Saints fans that that kind of thing is wrong, for a number of reasons. As I got to the ground today the busses were turning up and there was a handful of fans singing at them. One kid in a group of four or five saw it, laughed and said 'let's go join in the riot!' and they promptly legged it over there. That's a good sign isn't it. Not sure how old they were, but you'd describe them as kids, and they want trouble as its entertainment for them. They'll have been disappointed anyway as it was just singing and chanting, nothing more. Still, they were fat little bastards, the run over there might have done them some good.
  22. Oh dear. Try an hour, because they weren't allowed anywhere else.
  23. Pretty insulting to the linesmen and referee... ...But I actually can't rule it out! Some really stupid calls, Nigel got really ****ed off at one point.
  24. Don't buy into the whole 'he needs a rest' argument. Earlier this season, even when he was playing poorly, he scored goals. A fair few in fact. Also got a number of assists if I remember rightly. What's changed? He doesn't look like he knows where the goal is, let alone his team mates! How come he's just plain crap now as opposed to crap but still able to chip in? I'm afraid he's taken a few giant leaps backwards over the past few months and right now, I have to say I'd be inclined to get rid of him were we promoted. The GDL may well be right with their 'anti-booing-your-own-players' stance, but he's not exactly doing much to stop the cries of derision and annoyance.
  25. Weather forecast for Monday afternoon, ten degrees, constant rain and a northerly wind. Yippee.
