  1. You won't get sympathy on here. It'll get marked down as fans being passionate or just part of the game and you need to get a grip. For what it's worth, whoever did it is a complete melvin.
  2. ...Yes, I agree. He was not a scapegoat. As I just said.
  3. I don't believe anyone has said he is a scapegoat for tonight, they've just simply remarked on his performance tonight. I would also take issue with the idea that he is a scapegoat in the first place. No one blames him for a bad result, they simply point out what they see. There's a very big difference.
  4. I'm calling it as I see it. This thread is here, Guly played, I comment. If that's a problem then too bad really.
  5. Hooray! Two wins! Let's go Red Sox.
  6. Not the only reports of dickhead Reading fans I've heard tonight. Shame they don't use their energy to ****ing sing during a game instead.
  7. We have lots of them, but also a lot of fat kids in our support. I think I'm more worried about the latter.
  8. Dunno if anyone will agree but for a lot of the game I had Reading down as a 'hit and hope' team. They were just shy of smashing it up towards Roberts and hoping he'd get it controlled and then they could see what happened with it.
  9. You're going to feel like a right tw*t in the morning. If you don't feel like one now, of course. Reading took their chances. We didn't, and if you didn't notice, we had a lot more of the ball and had a lot more chances. A real sign of an unprofessional team isn't it. Go away and calm down.
  10. Yeah they went mental when they were 1 - 0 up. Silent up until then and when the equaliser came. Silent until they got their second, and then the third they went mental. Absolutely terrible when they weren't ahead. I've heard them called plastics tonight and honestly? Not too far off the mark.
  11. Thanks. Great username by the way.
  12. Thought it was a shaky performance at the back tonight all round.
  13. Takes on many players, then has no space to cross. Sometimes will get into a shooting position, doesn't score. I'm afraid I'm underwhelmed by him and tonight was pretty ordinary.
  14. Yep, that stood out for me unfortunately. Very little he could have done tonight to change things, but then again I never expected us to look any better when he came on which says a lot. I genuinely hope he turns it round but if he's going to contribute sod all like he has done in recent weeks then I don't want him on the bench let alone the pitch.
  15. It's not over yet. I wasn't nervous before or during the game and I'm not even now. We played well, Reading got lucky and took their chances. Sometimes that's what you need to do. I believe we're going up and I believe that if my team were in a top of the table clash my fans would be at least half decent. Reading's mob were ****ing awful. Whoever started the 'sing when you're winning' chant got it spot on. Bring on Peterborough, let's get over the line and into the top flight.
  16. Anyone just see Illingsworth on Football League Weekend? Makes me sick to think people still automatically go to him for opinion on the club. He also uttered the immortal line 'no one remembers the title winners'. I'm afraid they do Nick.
  17. It's a good joke. Credit to jawillwill. But did you know that some Reading fans call the Madejski 'the Library' because it's so quiet? True story.
  18. I had a job interview with the Premier League this week. Whilst I was there I was talking to several people about the EPPP, and they explained to me with a great deal of sense how all we see and hear is the negative side of the idea. There are a lot of positives and the new ideas being implemented will go a long way to help the game in this country. They also told me that they're deciding who to send to represent the FA for the plan down in Southampton. Just thought I'd throw that in there...
  19. It's a good article and a nice vision by the club but I'll start heaping the praise on and begin bragging when the results are on display. Let's not forget that those down the road were all going on about new training grounds and a shiny new stadium and were quick to tell everyone about it, then it all went pear shaped. They're now left with nice architect's mock ups and sod all else. Sorry to be negative but with football you just have to be cautious in my experience.
  20. 'Life's a Pitch' is one of the worst football programmes I have ever, ever seen. When I last watched it, it was full of journos that had never even been to a Championship game let alone covered one, and the errors were laughable. Talking with conviction about Jason Beckford of Leicester City, managed by Neil Pearson, for example.
  21. Had it until recently. O2 are easily one of the worst providers going - according to a friend in the know - and I have to say I was less than impressed. As previously mentioned, it depends on the distance from the exchange. I live a good few miles from it and was always told we'd never get high speed internet and no one was interested in doing fibre optic connections. Sky however have technology that can guarantee a good speed and indeed they have doubled ours. It's also much better value compared to what we were getting with O2.
  22. The original is a terrible affliction on music. I'd rather punch through walls than ever listen to it again. I admire the fact it's for charity and all that but it makes West Ham's 'boat party' thread pale in comparison.
  23. You're willing to blindly overlook some of the award winning journalism that has changed lives for the better? A journalist who graduated from the same course as me went on to expose the care home scandal that featured on Panorama. He's a right c*nt isn't he for doing that, yeah, what a rotten apple, just like all of us. And by the way, the press area at St. Mary's is rarely full.
  24. Was wondering how long people would take to highlight the 'small fish' comment!
  25. Perrett is genuinely a w*nker, article or not. I can safely say that having met him. He also was very quick to take to Twitter and abuse Saints fans and then accuse them of trolling when we won all three matches and they took up their right to respond to him and put him in his place.
