  1. That post perfectly sums up their ignorance. 'BC drops what he is after' 'SG drops what he is after'. Yes, because two businessmen are really going to conveniently forget about HUGE sums of money they are owed just because 14,000 football fans want them to. What a disgrace.
  2. Yeah but the thing is, AFC Wimbledon have decent fans. Portsmouth do not.
  3. Managed a Thai team for a while didn't he?
  4. Pearce, who was left on his arse as Rickie scored at Fratton? No thanks.
  5. YOU THINK THIS IS THE REAL QUAID? IT IS!
  6. Yep, this occurred to me too. Bastards.
  7. Oh dear! Liverpool won't be signing Sam Magri, so no money there either. Oooops.
  8. Should the Skates survive I think they ought to send out some thank you letters to the likes of the 3000 Leeds fans that attended last week. Imagine where they'd be without away fans this season. They're probably doing more for the club than Portsmouth fans themselves.
  9. The bastards would rather go out of business than play us. They're that worried. LOLZ.
  10. I've been recommended the MLB 'At Bat' app for iPhone, so I downloaded the 'lite' version and its pretty good. Will hopefully help me keep up to date. There's no point in me paying for the full version and getting live games as my internet connection around here isn't capable of streaming anything longer than two seconds without buffering. Hopefully though I'll find a way of watching a few games and particularly the post season. I see the expanded wildcard negotiations are ongoing?
  11. In all seriousness, yes, it'd be good to visit them.
  12. Nah the thing is, I'd heard about how scary he was, so I deliberately wrote off my car, nearly killed myself and went to court, lost my licence. He's that terrifying.
  13. Building for the future and playing younger prospects is a daft thing to do. If they play like that and lose, we'll tumble down the rankings, meaning we get tougher opposition in the future until eventually we're drawn in incredibly tough groups and can't qualify anyway. We'll do well to get out of our group at 2012. Ukraine and France are formidable opposition, then there's Sweden who we just about managed to beat in a friendly not so long ago.
  14. I agree, More General Franco than Barasi. Maybe Franco Benali...
  15. Do you rate Sturridge then? I'm yet to be convinced about him at all.
  16. Don't get the hype around Welbeck and Sturridge at all. Sod all strength in depth, England has a better chance of winning the Euro Millions than Euro 2012. Adrian Chiles, Paul Ince and Andy Townsend, what a trio of ****ing muppets.
  17. Sad. He always had a lot in his locker.
  18. On the subject of other teams, West Ham's hoofballer Winston Reid is out of their game with Cardiff. So they're missing a first choice defender. Woop.
  19. Right. Plan. Hopefully I'll be kept entertained this time. I'm going to manage in Japan, Australia and the States, before seeing what's going on in Europe. It'd be nice to get some feedback on that tactic, so let me know peeps.
  20. True story, I was on my way to his house when I wrote off my car. I then got six points and lost my licence, and no, never got to interview him. Indeed, from what I gather he was a fine player and a cult hero.
  21. I'm going to watch Mr. Adriansfc, but only because I have sod all else to do, don't see much live football on television and primarily because it's the Dutch. I'm curious to see how this mixed (putting it nicely) England team will do but I'm more keen to see the Dutch in action, as I say.
  22. Small world indeed, and a nice story. I was waiting outside Southampton Central station some months ago, probably a year back actually, and happened to start chatting to a gentleman who turned out to be none other than Mr. Brian O'Neil. I happened to mention I was a journalist and Saints fan and he very kindly gave me his address and said should I ever want to, I could go an interview him.
  23. Glad you're not our manager. Big time.
  24. Indeed. AFC Wimbledon who the FA believed were 'not in the wider interests of football' helped clubs in the Combined Counties League stay afloat, simply because of the huge numbers they took to away games. I went to see them play Dorchester and they could have had a whole stand at the Avenue to themselves if segregation was in force, and believe me, it's a fairly big stadium for that level. If an AFC Portsmouth were set up they should begin in the Sydenhams Wessex League, local derby with Moneyfields etc.
