  1. It's an interesting point - given the club's almost hostile attitude towards certain former players, how will they treat one of the current squad when they retire. Will they be welcomed back, given coaching or ambassadorial roles? I suppose it's possible, Murty was a signing under the Cortese regime. Maybe the likes of Le Tiss and Lawrie were just involved at a high level in the bad times, Lawrie as part of Wilde's 'we got our club back' rubbish and Le Tiss was part of the Fialka fiasko.
  2. Camden Yards does look fantastic, I'm hoping one day I can get over to the states and see a few games. As for the Nationals, is it really looking good for them for once? Have looked bloody terrible every other year since they settled in DC.
  3. Saw him racing between the lights in his Range Rover last night. Didn't do that well due to the traffic! I think Lee has made a big difference to our style. Needs to keep his starting place, also think Chaplow and Cork have to come back into the side. Richardson needs to do better and perhaps controversially, so does Lallana. I'm getting quite tired of him taking too many touches and overplaying it.
  4. Think post 2 summed it up well.
  5. Pompey going out of business would be a huge embarrassment to the FA and Football League. They're not going to fail Chanrai if he's the only one who can keep them afloat. Lesser of two evils. The test is a joke anyway.
  6. The ticket office said yes, customer services said no. So I'm stuck where I am. If anyone wants to do a trade, Block 30 for something in the Northam, do let me know.
  7. What do you mean opportunity? That's Appleton on the right!
  8. I've got my ticket through a friend of mine, she's a season ticket holder. I'm in block 30, would prefer something in the 40s. If I call the ticket office and tell them it's my ticket, bought through my friend, will they be able to move me, do we think?
  9. Regarding Dexter being sent to Forest there... I was working at Staplewood when Dexter had been sold to QPR. He was a little bit reluctant to go, even though Burley had said that he'd told Dexter a long time before that if a good offer came in, he was off. Dexter was at the training ground, sat on a perimeter fence that surrounded the training pitch, with a black bin bag full of his stuff - Michael Poke then turned up and had a go at him about nicking his boots. The night it was confirmed that he was off, the press department were told by Wilde and Co not to break the story until QPR had done the same. We went first, and the head of press back then got a bit of a bollocking. I think it was before we beat Coventry 2 - 0 in the first home game of the 06/07 season. 2 - 0 win, Bale free kick and Rasiak penalty. Jim from Eastenders was on the pitch doing the entertainment before hand, which went down like a lead balloon with the staff at the time! A nice little story I thought I'd share!
  10. Chris Hutchings might disagree with you on that one. As for the team selection thing, as Badger has said, it's out of order. Adding 'his job is safe however' doesn't really do much to convince me otherwise about the bloke.
  11. He criticised his own manager's team selection on national radio last night. He also thought it was his place to constantly berate Eriksson, McClaren and Capello, when it's none of his business - personally I've no time for the man, or anyone who carries on like that, for that matter. No insults intended Mr. Badger, none at all.
  12. Dave Gob****e Whelan? Don't have sympathy for him, he doesn't deserve it.
  13. They are easily the worst team in the top flight and don't deserve to be there. I hope we never play them.
  14. Best save a keeper has seen or the best save by a keeper that we have seen?
  15. Too early for this.
  16. I'd rather save up a bit of cash and buy Sealand http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/6239967.stm
  17. I've got one of the worst internet connections in this hemisphere but managed to stream the game perfectly yesterday, didn't buffer or lose picture once. Hahasport.com
  18. Got my ticket. I'd advise people to be quick, doesn't sound like there are going to be very many left for too long. 01271 335708 - good luck!
  19. Better check if that's allowed under Football League rules... Another points deduction? I remember AFC Wimbledon named their accountant as MOTM once!
  20. Where's that gif of the Pompey crest turning upside down then sinking with the words 'GOING DOWN!' when you need it?
  21. They don't understand do they? You're meant to turn up BEFORE the game.
  22. I reckon Bristol City are going down. Wouldn't mind either, arrogant club with ideas well above their station.
  23. AVB is FUK'd you might say.
  24. Oh **** off Reading.
  25. LOL @ Burnley
