  1. Have you only just got out of bed? Or have you just returned from Church?
  2. Agreed, we are outspending teams in L1 and CCC. But do you think we are buying players that are good enough to win promotion to the Prem? (lol at Exeter buying a player - although not in a patronising way ).
  3. But the 5 new additions last month will take time to bed. Let's wait until the end of February and see if results pick up (like they did in October, November & December).
  4. Have they? I'm not so sure. To reach the Prem in 3 years would require pretty much the same team to be playing in L1, CCC and then Prem. You need consistency. We would need to be fielding an upper-CCC/lower-Prem team now for that to be possible. And £3million doesn't buy a team that will compete with Newcastle.
  5. Maybe we can do it. I guess that more than 30 years of supporting Saints has taken it's toll after all. I'm used to low(e) expectations. I shall hand in my happy clapper badge at the desk on my way out. Seriously, it's a hell of an ask. Even if you replaced AP with Fergie or Wenger it would be still be daunting.
  6. Shhhhhh.......don't you know it's supposed to be a whispering campaign?
  7. So then...... It's league 1 to Prem in 3 years. Which means next season promotion from L1 to CCC. And 2011-2012 is promotion from CCC to Prem. Impossible: IMHO.
  8. I shall renew. And I will move to our shiny new Kop end. Mods- Will I be able to change my ID to Block 45?
  9. What are you saying Weston? League 1 to Prem in three years? That's the real plan?
  10. Rest assured, you have already been branded a 'happy clapper'. And here is your shiny badge. Wear it with pride.
  11. Pleasure doing business with you......
  12. I think it's the troll who posts provocative comments and then takes the 'holier than thou' moral high ground!
  13. Snap! http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=19957
  14. You clearly have access to my ticket buying history....... But seriously, I am a ST holder and I was at Huddersfield, Charlton, Walsall, Colchester, Leeds etc etc so I am clearly a much better fan than you. Na na na na na! :smt119
  15. Because, as I've stated elsewhere...... We have added 5 new players to the squad. It takes time for new players to gel and fit in with the other players around them. Like at the beginning of the season, when we had new players and they hadn't gelled and our results weren't that good. Remember?
  16. Confirmed.
  17. Why don't you tell us Alps? Do you have a good view of the game from behind your computer in Austria?
  18. JPT at MK franchise?????
  19. In the grand scheme of things you won't be at Wembley.
  20. Well Alpine is pretty close to Switzerland........ perhaps he works in the Lidl where Markus does his weekly shop?
  21. I think you're being a bit harsh towards me but I shall respond nonetheless. If I had to give one reason why I think the team isn't playing 'as a team' I would say it was because we have added 5 new players to the squad in the last few weeks. Obviously it will take a while for them to gel. Remember the beginning of the season, we had new players and it took a while to start getting the results.........? On a personal note, ease up on the sarcasm a bit. It's not healthy.
  22. a) I was at Swindon and people questioned his substitutions and 'tactical nous' at that game. (Even more so when he brought on Gobern & Saga on 81 minutes - the latter seemingly as a result of fan pressure, and Rasiak on 90 minutes). People questioning his tactics is nothing new! b) True, there are plenty of professionals who have turned out to be carp managers, but I would still value their opinion more than your own or any other poster on a forum because of their experience. (No offence intended to you Alps).
  23. "Between now and the start of next season" is a pretty big time frame DD. I don't think NC will make a judgement until the end of this season. If we end this season with a Wembley final and are within a few points of the play offs I think NC and the majority of fans would consider that a success. In that case, I would expect to see AP here next year. If, however, we don't make it to Wembley and start to slip down the table then of course NC will re-evaluate AP's position. Of course AP is under pressure to get results this season, I would be very concerned if he wasn't. But talk of sacking him before he has had a chance to prove himself is scare-mongering. So to answer your question DD...... If NC sacked AP between now and April I would think he was a ***t. If NC sacked AP during the summer because we failed to get to Wembley and finished a few points from relegation, I would be pretty supportive.
  24. I chuckled at that little gem too.
