I take on board what you state,perhaps i should have put 'IF' it goes wrong. My point still remains however,the way he is put on a pedastool by some is so over the top. I hope he is the one to take us further up the leagues,but some pontificating that he is the be all and end all is perhaps just as mad as someone saying he will fail,which is not what i have been saying. No one knows what the future holds,but holding him in such high regard after a fairly successful period thus far, with a team that should have achieved promotion this season,is too cut and dry. He is not beyond reproach and this transfer window coupled with next season will be the acid test,not what has just passed. I hope he passes that test with flying colours.

Wrong,if you look back i started the thread reference a new manager and it indicated that Zola had been contacted,this was from the same source that put me onto Guly signing,which i announced.

I heard and saw the proclomations of how we were going to endevour to play,yet we rarely scaled those heights,on occasions we managed to play to a higher standard but invariably for less than the duration of half a game. This was more than evident,when many remarked we had to up our game in the second half due to being attrociously **** poor in the first. Did you read the original post or just commented on it blindly?

I am quite within my right to be a little more reserved in my admiration of our manager. I sincerely hope he continues to be successful,i want more days like Saturday,celebrating with my little lad on the pitch,i really do. If having a differing view with others is a crime then i am guilty as charged. We are on the up and i hope Adkins will be the one to guide us,BUT,at this moment in time i will refuse to proclaim him as anything more than the manager that guided a very strong Southampton side out of League 1. This coming transfer window and the coming season will tell us alot more about his capabilities,so therefore i will remain steadfast in my feelings to what he has achieved thus far. It is a great feeling at the moment to be a saints fan,long may that continue. I think the personal abuse,due to my differing views is dissapointiing,perhaps i should not have expected more. Sad reflection on many of you,you must be very proud.

It has nothing to do with supposedly not liking Adkins at all,FFS. Just because i don't pee my pants over everything he says/does. However if his run of bringing in some modicum of success continues into next season i may well become a tad moist.

In league one with a substantially stronger squad and resources than our rivals. Let's see how he does on a slightly more even playing field in the forthcoming season before claming him to be the messiah. Feet on the ground people,please.

Just onemore time for those hard of hearing,or just plain thick,players initially and on occasions seemed unable to put into practice what was being instructed to them,and what was being preached in the media by Adkins. What he was telling us and the media about the style he wanted to adopt was very rarely seen on the pitch. Mother Theresa should have got this squad promoted,especially when inheriting such a strong squad at that. Very well executed by Adkins,but the fawning over him of late has been nauseating,the real work begins from now. Let's just hope he sees out the contract and continues to have success,but it won't come as easy as it did this past season.

This will end up costing us a packet when it goes t1ts up.

Rajinda Pradesh, in one of the most unlikely places,Centre Parcs at Longleat. I kid you not, it was simply stunning,wonderful food in wonderful surroundings. I cannot recomend it highly enough if you ever frequent the aforementioned Centre Parcs. Just thinking about it makes me want to book. When i lived in west London i always ventured to Zacharays just outside Hounslow,pretty darn good,served me well for 20 years.
