Thankfully i think we should be fine on that front;) However DD,do you now not concur with me in any way that Adkins is not living up to the billing that many on here thought. Performances are below par, would you not agree? As you know i was 'underwhelmed' by his appointment and i may have been a little prematurely critical,but i am losing faith in his abilities quite rapidly. Do you have concerns now? He isn't and never was the man to take us on to the next level,imo. Vast difference beween SFC and Scunny in my view.

Most definately,imo. Unfortunately however he is history. The one galling thing is i believe Pardew would have served us well in the Championship also,whereas i believe Adkins is not upto the task in that league let alone this one. I had reservations from day one,have voiced them and been pilloried for it. We are underperforming under him,the displays have been below par,especially of late. There is a huge gulf between managing SFC and Scunny. I am not convinced he will be able to entice the calibre of player during a transfer window either. Many signings under Pardew stated it was he that sold the club to them,i believe Adkins does not have that capability or that he himself is a draw to work under as a player. Adkins walked in with a pretty much excellent side for this league,Pardew did the ground work. Adkins is not fulfilling his remit,especially the much vaunted style of play many on here were promoting that he would adopt,even before a ball was kicked in anger.

Adkins is blessed with arguably the best squad in this league,many would dream having the players we have to call upon. Adkins is not fulfilling his remit. We are underperforming and not making progress,especially in the playing style,the style that so many championed that Adkins' sides play. I'm sure the stat man will be out in a mo,but you are easily pleased if you are happy with the dross being served up.

I can see your point of view fully but surly we have bigger aspirations than just matching our opponents scoreline. The squad we have we should be performing better.

Should not have to rely on others to do us favours,we have been lucky recently the way results have gone. Come on Saints.

Come on,get that all important goal. We have been extremely lucky of late with our rivals results,we must capitalise.

They are the benchmark both in results and performances it seems.

I will let you know when he does something of merit and deserves some adulation. He has done reasonably well in fits and starts and i have commented on those occasions,unfortunately they are sporadic.

I would not argue with any stats thrown around,however,we are limping along.....which is not good enough.

If we couple a better performance with a win,of course. If however we nick the victory whilst still underperforming, i will be relieved,but this would seem par for the course of late. Which to me means he is not fulfilling his remit and leaving much room for error. And winning whilst not performing well is NOT the sign of a good side.

Agreed. Someone who appears to get the best out of what he has at his disposal.

Does not have to be pretty. I would settle for a commanding display without too many players underperforming and going missing.

ANOTHER poor display thus far. I wager we have underperformed more times this season than we have played to our full potential.
