I think the majority of his caps were gained as a second division player. Not only a brilliant winger he became an equally effective midfielder later in his career. He would be first on the list of my best Saints Xi.

Spare a thought for Crystal Palace

I suspect Coventry fans and Charlton fans had similar threads re GS and AP when they took on us. -
The radio station.

Alowed time to get back to the local for a couple.

If I remember correctly a FL official told the Echo that we would not be deducted points because SFC had not gone into admin. If other FL clubs consider the Skates are getting some sort of preferential treatment to their detriment things may change. Remember the FL make the rules up as they go along. Certainly legality will not come into it.

It would be interesting to know when we had a good start to any season?(probably our promotion years in the 60's and 70's). Having said that i'm sure automatic promotion will happen.

The online version is normally much shorter than that printed.

Another desperate Echo non story. They really are struggling.
-
There is no doubt season ticket renewals will be less this year than normal but as there are still over three weeks before deadline I'm not too sure that because sales are slow now they will not pick up later in month. Could be some ST holders are holding back just as a symbolic protest. We will not really know how NC's decision to abandon the scheme affects total sales until August.
-
Just read it again and to be fair it doesnt mention the saving is for renewing ticket early. Picked another point from the notice (apologies if already mentioned). Season tickets MUST be renewed by end of June to retain seat.
-
I think i,ve sussed it. 23 matches X £27 = £621 then the discounts quoted make sense. Poorly explained by club as it makes the incentive to renew by end of June not that attractive.
-
I know my maths are a bit dodgy but where does the 32/35% discount come from? Adult centre renewal £393 Adult centre new £426 I reckon thats about 8% less
-
Is it me? Surely renewal prices are being quoted. If renewed before end of june then discounts of 32%/35% will apply.
-
Trouble is the Echo pretend it's news and take money for it! No wonder circulation is apparently falling.
-
They are so desperate to find any sort of story to report about Saints that they have no choice.
-
I would think season ticket sales must have dipped dramatically so the club is trying to sell the belief they will be able bounce back at first attempt. They are only claiming to be offering contracts to some of the better players. Suggest those who can earn more than the alleged £10,000 per week will be off.
-
A first class signing. A minor critiscism of Harding is that he has a dodgy throwin (particularly when taken quickly). He's been foul throwed on several occasions. I would think another LB would be to strengthen the squad not to replace.
-
I'm sure AP wants to move out a further significant number of players if contracts allowed. I wouldn't be surprised if up to 6 more players are loaned or or transfered out before the start of next season.

wrong thread
-
Why is it I feel the Echo first sources a story to another media outlet and then they can then run with it. Once out of the loop with the club and the coverage of Saints became either secondhand or sensationalist' I stopped buying it months ago.
-
Whilst Mr Murray is in charge the vendetta will not stop. Drops in sales and advertising is the only language that is understood. I stopped buying the Echo months ago.

Pardew and board to meet Thursday now...?

If AP is still manager at the end of the day I'm sure the Echo will claim that it was their campaign that won it!
