Just wondering as to whether any inhabitants of The Lounge, plenty of whom are quite politicised, are actually members of political parties or NGOs? I was a member of the Labour Party until Blair took us to war and had been since I was 14. Now I'm a member of The Green Party but, oddly, understand where UKIP are coming from regarding EU membership, which is a concern for an avowed Europhile!

I travel to Italy quite a lot and Milan is not a nice place outside the immediate area around the Dumo. Say your dosh, jump on a train and head out to Lake Como or Parma.

Once they change to avios points you can use them for cruises and the like.

It's one of the reasons I've spunked a load of mine as I was saving them for long haul but it doesn't make it cost effective. For zone 1 - 3 it will be the miles + £27 but they are upping the miles required for zone 1 (Paris & Amsterdam) but dropping the 500mile supplement from regional airports. Still worth collecting for Europe. Used a load last year for free flights to Antigua and have used them for Rome and Milan as well.

I gave mine away due to work commitments. Lucky escape.

Spunked some airmiles on flights into Barca for the late 1/2 term in June for the family but we've never stayed on this part of the coast and were wondering if anyone had rented a villa out there that they could recommend? Need 3 bedrooms and a pool. Ta muchly.
