  1. I thought FR poor in L1. I've seen nothing this season to change that view.
  2. Yesterday, at times, we was simply breathtaking. I've never seen a Saints player with the close control that he has.
  3. At one stage in the 1st half I actually thought he was playing as left back as LCFC's tactics were clear, pull the CBs wide and then fill that gap with their midfielders. Much as Germany did to England in the WC. Worked as well. I won't slate him though as I thought Richardson worse but a CB is an absolute must.
  4. Really? Their flank players coming inside caused major problems 1st half but they way they wilted suggests to me that they can hope for play offs at best.
  5. Even a LCFC can see it:
  6. That's just what my lad said on the way back to the car.
  7. De Ridder is the mutts nutts and Fox looked the part as well.
  8. Seaborne didn't have a shocker by any stretch of the imagination.
  9. One of the best 2nd half performances I've seen. Period. I walked away with my lad, both in agreement that if we play like that we'll go up. Their 3rd goal was the most blatant foul that you'll ever see.
  10. I agree with that on the whole but I did feel that he was being pulled to far towards the flank.
  11. As per normal you confuse patriotism with nationalism. I'm a proud patriot but I'm not a nationalist. It's quite easy to be left wing and still be proud of your country and heritage, millions are.
  12. Gib' is a sh*thole and has been for years.
  13. I think you'll find Rich that even the lefties, myself included, believe that the EDL marchers should have the same rights of protest as everyone else, regardless of whether we like or support their ideas or beliefs. Personally I think everyone should be warned to look out for the Muslamic ray guns. I love this musical representation.
  14. Don't forget, he's another one whose nailed his colours to "Adkins is rubbish and will fail" mast.
  15. Baldock was hardly inspiring. Whilst I would have welcomed him I'd have found myself going "meh" at best as he's another Barney to me. A CB is far more important IMHO.
  16. It won't go to Liverpool, too far from London. My lot, none of whom are Sotonians, love Southampton and love the walk over the Itchen Bridge when all the ships are in, looks great. I've not lived in Soton for over 20 years and having work in Stoke, Birmingham and the Black Country you guys should be very grateful for what you've got.
  17. Agree 100%. We have a pathetic bunch of whinging bed wetting losers following Saints led by Hypo, although, in fairness, he's desperate for Adkins to fail so his attitude isn't unexpected.
  18. You will not drive up standards when teaching is being done so kids solely pass exams for league table positions. The amount of coaching that "D" students get, just to squeeze that extra mark out that may become a "C" is obscene. It's not for the benefit of the child, it's for the school. I know this from experience. The teaching of the humanities, IMHO, is very good and still rigorous but English teaching can be poor and maths and science, due to lack of qualified staff, is dire in swathes of the nation. From the top down the whole system needs an overhaul. GCSE's are too easy but "A" Levels are about right but could do with a tweak.
  19. Someone I know oop norf.
  20. And we're back in apparently. If it's an improved offer, or other players involved I don't know but I've texted him back asking for updates if he hears anything.
  21. Beats buying one from a catalogue.
  22. That's interesting as I was told that we were expected to up the offer for JR to £4.5m and that my Burnley source thought it would be enough to get him. Appears not.
  23. Who do you think is lighting up the targets and finding them in the 1st place? Little doubt that there have been boots on the ground since the air strikes started.
  24. Yes. Booked Sat' evening, came Tuesday.
  25. Poor Ho, so thick. He fails to understand that the boycott was because we believed Lowe was destroying the club and the only way to be rid of him was to push the club to the brink financially. Finance never entered it, just his bizarre vision that started with Woodford and ended with the Dutch experiment. I refused to attend a home game when he returned and like 1000s of others was back at SMS when he was hoofed out. I went to nearly every away game as I still supported SFC and the nippers deserved all the support we could give.
