  1. Everyday's a school day!
  2. According to my 9yo It's vital we go up ASAP so Saints Match Attack cards are available.
  3. Stanley believes in the theories of social Darwinism which spawned eugenics and the argument behind the Nazis "super race".
  4. Still nowt. Still no one I know has been charged.
  5. Count yourself lucky Jamie, I spent many a long run ashore in Gib'. Great p i s s up but a dog hole since they opened the border. The best thing was the services families olympic sized outdoor pool thingy.
  6. http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/edwest/9850215/The_English_are_a_mongrel_nation_whatever_Channel_4_claim/ http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/this-britain/welcome-to-the-mongrel-nation-667933.html http://www.yourdiscovery.com/history/mongrel_nation/ We all are if we consider ourselves English.
  7. I'll get both. MW3 will give me the wham bam thrill and BF3 will allow me to use my brain.
  8. No, it's a 'kin stupid point by someone who cleary can't grasp what's being said. We all want our club to succeed and that means being as highly placed in the top league as possible. However, that isn't necessarily compatible with the personal situations of some which would exclude them, on the grounds of cost, from being there to enjoy it despite having gone, week in and week out, in the lower divisions.
  9. I work in the heart of the Black Country and racism is alive and well but (appears) to be no longer based on skin colour but religion and is almost exclusively wrapped up in ignorance and general dumbness. Think of the EDL video about mind rays and you'll understand. Any racism coming the other way is usually based on US/UK foreign policy and again is also based on ignorance and dumbness. The "Poles" take the brunt in the white middle class town where I live.
  10. Of course every fan wants us to go up again. However not every fan who has gone through the dark days could afford or justify premier league prices. If we were to go up I'll celebrate like a loon but I'll also know that someone else would be sitting my nipper and my season ticket seats the following year unless they were priced in a sensible manner.
  11. This, of course, is the correct answer.
  12. For the club, promotion ASAP. For me. No thanks.
  13. Leeds prices are high. Renewals = http://www.leedsunited.com/news/20110101/season-ticket-renewals-201112_2247585_2254932 New = http://www.leedsunited.com/news/20110511/new-season-ticket-prices-released_2247585_2357296
  14. Or a YouTube link.
  15. From his West Ham days apparently.
  16. Good tip. Our allotment saves us £100s per year and the trading/bartering we can do with the access is great.
  17. That's you on Stanley's ignore list then.
  18. I do not like the Utd brand in the same way I didn't like the Liverpool brand back in the 80s. However, that doesn't stop me admiring SAL's record or the fact he's built so many teams or that they play a style of football that I love to watch. I have a number of Utd season ticket holders as mates, all of them have held them for way over 25 years and all dislike the "tourists" and they are just ordinary fans like the rest of us with one exception, they've had success.
  19. Good move by both parties IMHO.
  20. I've met him and, surprisingly, he's a really decent bloke.
  21. I'd hitch hiked down for that game IIRC as I was skint. A result that ultimately got Dave Jones the job with us.
  22. The answer, of course, is no.
  23. Read something on the BBC today saying that how they, the BBC, were unaware of anyone yet being debited but the Olympic people had said 60% should have been debited by Wednesday. Not a soul I know who applied has had money debited yet.
  24. I'll have the odd cold bottle of beer of an evening when the kids are in bed but I haven't gone out to the pub to get smashed in many a moon. I would never want the kids to see me drunk.
