  1. I guess we'll find out just how far we've come since September.
  2. Yes. I'm in the lower, freezing, corner.
  3. Get a grip mush.
  4. It's easy to forget how energy hungry we've become since the miners strike.
  5. As with anything, make it profitable and some corporation will do it.
  6. Good god.
  7. What are you waffling on about? This island has more coal then we'd ever need and if used correctly would give us energy security we may well need in the future. Carbon capture technology could solve the greenhouse issues. I remember vividly being told the reason for the mines shutting was North Sea gas, and how we had enough to last us years and years and it would be cheap as chips. Hence the "dash for gas" power stations. What happened? The North Sea gas starts to run out 20 years later, and we have to import gas from Russia or via ship from Nigeria and our coal comes from Poland and prices keep going up.
  8. As have I, both before and after 2003 (Iraq excluded since) And just as many keeping a very wary eye on Iran The most extremist, religiously, of all the countries in that region is Saudi. It sponsors terror but is our ally due to oil so maybe religion isn't the driver, but money, wealth, status and power are.
  9. Surprised it's not on TV but as I'll be in Italy anyway I wouldn't have seen it.
  10. Many, yes, I know but nothing like the extent that it was through to last year as Iraq was pulled apart. It's starting to calm down again but there is an awful lot of rage still there.
  11. It will be on a Tuesday and live on Sky.
  12. The problem with events since 2001 and especially since 2003 is that many Muslim moderates have shifted their stance for the worse due to our actions. America, under Bush, were guilty of the hypocrisy of engagement in Iraq whilst ignoring the actions of Israel in Gazza and The West Bank and the Palestinian people in general. The actions of the Bush/Blair axis has made the world a more confused and dangerous place and helped erode the fragile trust in politics. We went to war based on deliberate lies.
  13. Meh, it's a hobby.
  14. This one shows the median. http://www.mikeavery.co.uk/Attendance%20Tables%20Median%202009-10.htm
  15. Who would have guessed that Ponty was an authoritarian right winger? That's a right shock that is.
  16. I've got bling pro on only one set up now! My style of play means speed is the essence! I've gone back to the M4 after completing SCAR V as the magazine is to small on the SCAR. Of course, when I unlock the ACR I'll just use that. I also have akimbo ranger shotguns now, which are lethal.
  17. He'll be back when we drop points.
  18. Excellent, I can do the Wednesday!
  19. I have no sympathy for them either but Walsh is just as much to blame for it reaching this rather pathetic situation but Unite and the cabin crew have seriously misjudged the mood of the nation. I used to "know" a trolly dolly for Continental, who flew out of Newark but lived in Cleveland so that situation isn't unique to BA staff.
  20. Of course, who wouldn't have created a climate where cabin staff feel as if they have no choice but to take direct action. Not Willie, not him, no history at all has Mr Walsh. Staff and unions are still c*nts for going it though and if they do go ahead over the xmas period I hope all strikers lose their jobs.
  21. There really is a sense of "we are all in this together, for each other" from the players, board and fans. I love it.
  22. TBH it depends on how early you get there to park in a good spot. Do it right and it's easy to get away. Get it wrong......
  23. I think you doth protest too much.
  24. 3 for me. MLT v Arsenal. The sheer mentalness of it all, that my/our hero had cracked in a beauty in the last ever league game at The Dell. MLT's 45yarder away at Blackburn. Corky Morris and I looked at each other in stunned silence at the sheer quality of it before going nuts. From The Darwin end you had a great view of the swerve of the ball, which you don't really get on the TV. Man City away. Corky and I were sat in with the city fans as guest of a mate of his at Eastlands and as the ball was crossed in from the left we were out of out seats in tandem, both nodding an imaginary ball into the net, just as BT did the same.
