I don't watch a lot of TV bar BBC 4 but I've watched seasons 1-3 of GoT in 10 days and now onto season 4. Why did I not know about this before? 'kin brilliant.
-
And that's why Noddles is top COC.
-
Ever thought that the players may want the "glory" of playing for a big club and they will leave no matter what Saints offer them?
-
Won't stop the CoCs though when the summer comes and we lose NC & MS to the "big guns".
-
Yes. I'm racing from mid-April, both crit and road.

TBF to the bloke, he walked into a nightmare situation of hysterical tarts in the fan base and NC playing the press a treat. Couldn't have been easy.

The Long Overdue Pointless 2015/16 (Adidas) Kit Thread

His posts have always left me with that impression. -
2 months off = 2 weeks proper riding to get it back.
-
TBF, by late April, you should consider 100km a normal Sunday distance. When you get back with tired legs get some milk with choccy powder in it down your neck. It is the best thing available to help your muscles repair pronto. Also, stretching. 5mins worth after your ride will help. I'm lucky, my Mrs is a trained masseuse so if I come back after a 150km ride or a very hilly route I'll get a proper leg rub down. Makes a hell of a difference.

I want the opportunity to take my boy to a European away game. Nothing more.

My new baby being built.

I'll leave this thread to those who clearly have a great grasp of FE/HE in 2015 and how working class students view debt.
-
Clearly, but it doesn't stop you does it.
-
We can all make numbers up, but some if us work in that field and might, just possibly, be slightly more clued up than others.
-
Ask yourself why governments are businesses are both pushing for more to go to uni and you'll find the answer to your question.
-
Are you suggesting that there are enough part-time, term time, jobs available for every university student in the UK? There are over 30,000 students in The Potteries. Where are 30,000 part time, term time jobs going to come from?
-
I agree. I was chatting about uni to some of my students last Thursday and the majority of the girls who have part-time jobs, are all staying at home as it saves them money. I guess saving money, earning, having the comforts of home outweighs the fun of moving away. What is noticeable is that those young people whose parents have been to uni are much more blasé about it and are much more likely to be moving further afield.
-
It depends, obviously, on course duration and location. We were given some projected figures at work for a cross section of unis/courses, I'll dig them out after 1/2 term & give you the gist but you've clearly underestimated accommodation costs and living expenses.

The Long Overdue Pointless 2015/16 (Adidas) Kit Thread

My 12yo hasn't had a shirt for the 1st time this season as they are so awful. -
If you read further up the thread I have said that it's noticeable that so many are now doing just that.

Asians have a massively different mindset. Teaching for 6 years in the Black Country illustrated that. I knew kids in Y1 who were having extra maths and science lessons ahead of grammar school exams in Y6 + grammar school entrance lessons on a Saturday. Parents were "investing" in their old age as well as their kids. As for the toff, I'd explain, in the same way I would to any parent, the benefits of a university education and the alternatives available.
-
Plenty. Hence the government drive, which is great regardless of who is in power, to get more working class kids to at least apply.
-
Not very many of those professions come from the working classes. Whilst I'm over simplifying, which seems appropriate, doctors are either Asian or from middle class households. Teachers tens to be from middle class backgrounds, especially at primary and bridge designers, not a clue, although I do know one from Burnley and he's the only person I've met with 2 PhDs! Still, you and Lighthouse clearly have a keener understanding of the issues and fears facing young working class people and parents than I.

Better explained that I could do.
